I hope the Parks Blog does what it did in December 2018, where every day they provided an update on a park project worldwide in the lead up to Christmas. If not, it'll probably be 2025 when we hear anything new
I don't think the forum can handle that much bad news in a row. One day we find when ROA gets taken out, the next Muppet is closing, the day after that it's randomly announced Figment's closing.... it'd be a mess

Oh give me a break. The Rivers of America is one of the last remaining Disney attractions that isn't connected to an IP. It's an original creation just for the parks. That gives it much more value than a dated puppet theater connected to a mistaken acquisition. And FYI, Walt Disney himself loved Americana. That's why he wanted to build a Lincoln AA, to pay tribute to a great American. BTW, when Michael Eisner, after mistakenly buying the puppets, was going to replace "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" in Disneyland with them, the public raised holy hell and he backed off. Face it, you Muppet fans are few. The gift shop next to the Muppet attraction soon became filled with Mickey stuff because the Muppet merch wasn't selling. Now, the Robert Iger Company is full of lame-brains, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Rivers of America is indeed destroyed. But the puppet theater deserves that fate far more. Get a grip.
You've got a history of Muppet bias though, like you are weirdly obsessed with hating them.

There are far more muppet fans than ROA fans. Simply just a fact. There are millions of muppet fans outside of just the Disney Park fans, it's one of the few IPs most people can easily get on board with. Muppetvision was also an "original creation for the parks". While what you said about Eisner is a crazy thing for him to try and do, this is not the same scenario at all. Even if they do replace HOP it is not the same as replacing Lincoln, because that carries much more history and significance. I'm sorry you're upset they are removing ROA but that doesn't give anything you said weight, and you're just coming into this thread to troll and make muppet fans more upset/heated about the potential loss of history.

Yeah, there are so many Muppet fans that the second movie flopped, and all of the shows Disney gave the puppets flopped. That's the "weight" I have that you're talking about. (And spare us the old excuse "Disney didn't do them right!" Disney just pays the bills. It's the people behind the puppets that bear the responsibility for their failures, nobody else). And how do you know that there are more muppet fans than ROA fans? Did you take a poll?

Rumor has it that the Liberty Belle will become the 4th ferry that sails the Seven Seas Lagoon
The Liberty Belle runs on a track and has no ability to steer. It also loads from the side and could not utilize the existing dock. It also runs on actual steam. The Liberty Belle would require so many prohibitively expensive modifications it would be cheaper to build a new boat from scratch.

I don't know why that even had any traction. There's videos of them moving it with full towing because it can't steer. It's well covered it can't do anything but move along a track.

I assume there's no future for the Belle after this then?

Unfortunately, it does sound like they’ll destroy the Belle while building a new ferry…

Ok I have an idea of how to save the liberty belle, incorporate it into the new reflections hotel somehow, they're building it new so they can purpose build anything for the boat.
