I got shocked by my toaster this morning! Coincidence? :lookaroun

Seriously though, I thought something bad happened like the pilot got terrible news from the home front or something.

And why are you the bearer of only the most negative or sensational postings anyway?

OK, now I'm really bored. :snore:

It is still news though jt. The monorail was shut down for 30 minutes and it stated why. There are people here who might have asked why the monorail was shut down and the OP lets them know why.

Sometimes a person just can not win on these boards. The title of this forum is WDW Parks News & Rumors. Since this happened at WDW I think... no wait I am pretty sure it qualifies as WDW News.

Light switch? Had to have been OFF the monorail then. But then the media fishes for this stuff making it sound worse than it is.

Why do they still insist upon reminding everyone about what happened last July? Do they really think that peoples memory is THAT bad?
It is the style of reporting that most media outlets have.

For example, watch the beginning of any football game and the color commentators will recap any off season drama before every game, a short history of drama in the past years at the university and sometimes talk about players personal lives and bring out demons just so they can have a story. I see it every season.

It is just the style. They think it is relevant since it was a story about the monorail.

This is getting old!!!

All the news stations in florida only focus on disney's bad...I to this day am still convinced they are biased and are trying to keep people from visiting. Cause why else post something like that??!!!?? it has nothing to do with guests, and I understand people might want to know why the monorail was shut down...but the we have to bring up incidents from years ago! I know the real reason is to get big hits and that just sickens me!!!:hurl::hurl: And why wasn't a trained electrician working with electricity!!! why the monorail driver who is trained in oh I don't know...UMMM JUST DRIVING!!! I bet you 1000 other people got electrocuted today do they get to be on the news!!!??

The pilot did not get "electrocuted". Probably something just above a static shock but I'm sure someone will suggest three days of bed rest. With full salary of course.

Because that's what the media does. If they can scare a few people into thinking that safety is not held in high regard along the WDW monorail, well then they sleep well at night.
