Monorail was down

This morning the monorail wasn't working from the TTC to the hotels or MK. It finally started around 11am. I asked around and everyone said they didn't know why. I heard two CM's talking about needing 'hoses' but couldn't hear anything else.
Taking the bus to MK was much much faster. I wish they offered that everyday.

I believe there was a small fire at the Polynesian. Don't know the details, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't too big a deal.

But why would that stop the service? Unless the fire was on the monorail track, or near it...

I believe that if there is a fire, (size doesn't matter...small fires can become large without warning) the objective is to take people AWAY from the general area, not bring trainloads of people TOWARDS the general fire area. If there really were a fire at any of the monorail resorts, it would make perfect sense to stop the monorails. I suspect they might be placed on stand-by for emergency evacuation of guests. (but I don't really know)

The only time I encountered the Monorail not running(for the guests at the Poly anyway, I think every other resort was fine) was Friday nite around 8 PM, the reason: the electricity was out for the major portion of the Poly station, that's what the monorail CM at the Contemporary told me......

Way back in 93 or 94 when they finally changed the Pats uni's from the frankenstein Patriot to the "ELVIS" Patriot.

He's known as "Elvis" cause he has a striking resemblance to Elvis Pressley.
