Here's a shot posted on Twitter by DCAlover of the monorail being towed through the Contemporary.
The reason for the extended time to tow the train was the tractor was unable to get onto the Epcot monorail beam due to a locked up track switch. Reedy Creek was on standby underneath just in-case the tractor was unable to get onto the beam. The train was stopped near the Epcot Center Overpass and due to this RC shutdown the exit from World Drive to Epcot.
I've often wondered..since the tractors are diesel, what do they do about exhaust when passing through the Contemporary?
It seems that the monorails have been breaking down more here recently?
It just didn't happen recently. I first saw problems with the Monorail in either 2008 or 2009 and that means the Monorail problems have been existing for 4 years at least. When I went in 2007, there was no problems with the Monorail.It seems that the monorails have been breaking down more here recently?
