Monorail to Animal Kingdom?

Magic kingdom is the “far” park...and it was meant to be that way: the park tucked At the top to “draw” people through the crazy prototype city to the south.

The other four parks/guest areas are more or less in a linear line along the orange/Osceola county border

Or, as hinted at by our insiders, they may add a different type of “link”from AKL to AK and possibly onto Disney Springs.

Somewhere there is a discussion about it all, possibly somewhere in nearly 1000 pages of the Gondolas thread.

I’d settle for a walking path myself but that is unlikely too.
How about a elephant "train" between AKL and DAK? Just pick up a ride on a elephant between the two? :p
Serious note, I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years the Gondola system gets expanded out that way in some form.
Assuming no one cooks to death in a gondola or similar nightmare scenarios. ;P

In the Parks
No
I doubt it. It would cost A LOT.
I could see all the parks being connected via skyliner one day though.
Not as much strucure would need to be built and the cost would not be as high.

I think it’s safe to say there will never be a monorail extension, new track or any expansion of the monorail system.

Sadly, I think you're right. If they ever intended to put a monorail line to Animal Kingdom, they would have had it in the works 20 years ago.

We're also not getting the monorail line to Disney Springs, even though they originally planned for it back when it was Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village.

It could happen...we’re only one forward-looking CEO away from it happening. It may not be the next CEO or the one after, but eventually...

I get that there are shareholder considerations but that doesn’t stop a determined decision maker.

The “skyliner” is a test balloon...undoubtedly

There Will be no monorail “extensions”...absolutely not. It died in phase 3 and there would never be a legit reason to resurrect it in phase 5

Plans makes it sound like blueprints to actually happening. Proposal sounds like a proposal to fix the Yeti and keep attractions in 100% working order.
There are plans to link DAK to DHS and Epcot. Note I said plans. And no cable car system. Whilst these are current, remember a monorail link to the studios from Epcot has been proposed since the early 90s.
