The MK and resorts monorail has been out of service since last evening, April 12th at 7:00 pm. Crews have been working all night to fix it. Buses are running from the transportation center and MK resorts.
not to mention the outrageous prices people pay for the "convenience" of staying in a monorail resort...Hate to see this, I believe the monorail adds to guest experience
There was a ton of lightning the past two nights. I have no idea if this caused anything, but something to note.
Probably a strike on switchgear (stuff that controls high power electrical systems) and since it probably has not been updated in a long time (and onsite spares have probably been used up and not replenished) they are probably scrambling around looking for spare parts in some dusty warehouse or EBAY (The industrial supplier to the Universe! and I'm not kidding here a lot of unique spares not found in catalogs are found on ebay if you know what you are looking for)
There was when I was there no cloud to ground lighting on site from what I can recall.
Looks like the lack of maintenance on the monorail systems in this case probably beam power system finally caught up to them.
I heard an entire monorail was eaten by a Sharknado.
How big WAS it???
