After you purchase it, you mount a 360 degree camera on a real monorail as it goes around all of the loops. You then add video screens to the windows and run the film back. This would be similar to what they are doing with the new HP ride down the block. Who is with me on this idea?

Yes! Then also see if Google could add the images to Street View.

I LOVE THINGS LIKE THIS!!!!! I have tried to start collecting Disney "props". However, my collection is pretty small at this point...only have a large wagon wheel prop from BTMRR and on old plaque that used to be in front of the Liberty Bell.

It's just south of me in Tyrone, GA. Located at Tyrone Depot.

Thanks for posting that! You can see the monorail in the background of the image on the front page of their web site. http://tyronedepot.com/

Here's a link to an article about it at the current location - http://micechat.com/54874-monorail-red-tyrone/ - Note that one of the comments is written by Bob Gurr

Thanks for posting! Chip is also the owner of the Tyrone Depot.

from http://www.monorails.org/tMspages/archive071402.html

6/8/02 Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The news that the Walt Disney Company was selling one of their Mark IV Monorail Red driver cabs garnered a good deal of press and public attention. The twelve-train Mark IV fleet was retired in the early 1990's when Bombardier Mark VI trains were brought on line at the Florida resort. A total of 89 bids had been made for Monorail Red when the auction ended June 6th. An elated Chip Young of Tyrone, Georgia was the victor with a bid of $20,000. We're pleased to say that Chip joined the Monorail Society on the same day of his big eBay win. He tells us that he's received e-mails from all over the USA from folks wanting to know what his plans are for the cab. Chip states "I want to restore it and make an exhibit of it on my property."
