Can you just imagine towing that baby down the interstate as a fifth wheel!? Not sure how much privacy you would get at the campsite though.
At least it's aerodynamic! Probably. Maybe.

Can you imagine the amount of carpet you could fit in there ... lol. New reality series' would emerge .. Pimp My Monorail, Desperate Beamscapes and The Real Monorails of Reedy Creek, to name a few

This is pretty incredible.

I would have loved to have owned a Tomorrowland Speedyway car when I was 10; I would've been the coolest kid in the neighborhood.

Heck, I still kinda want a speedway car!

I stumbled across this today. Quite a bit out of my price range. But made me wonder what ride, attraction, prop, or Disney item would you buy? and the highest cost to purchase said item?

As for Monorail...I have to wonder where will this be placed once it is purchased?

If Michael Jackson was still alive I'm guessing he might be loony enough to buy it... but at that price I'm guess if it is sold it will be to some movie studio as a prop.

Isn't that the monorail that was on Display at Mousesurplus.com?

Yes, it is. From what I've been able to learn, it was sold by Disney through disneyauctions.com in the mid 90s to someone in Georgia who put it in their backyard. (I have pictures and will post if I can find them) From there the mousesurplus guys got a hold of it and put it on the trailer. It was at their warehouse near Orlando for a while until the partners in that company decided to part ways. It got moved to Georgia again and I remember seeing pictures of it with some advertising for a restaurant or catering company on the side. It's still at the location of that business and can be seen on Google maps.
Last I knew, the rest of the cars from Red and all of Silver was sitting in a Disney warehouse. Anyone know if it's still there? Lime and Coral were sold to MGM/Ballys and ran in Las Vegas for a few years and the rest were scrapped by a company in Tampa.
The weather has certainly taken a toll on it and a major "refurb" ($$$) would be needed to get it back to show quality.

I'd buy it but then I would be faced with the problem of finding a matching sticker for it since I've got this on my car.

After you purchase it, you mount a 360 degree camera on a real monorail as it goes around all of the loops. You then add video screens to the windows and run the film back. This would be similar to what they are doing with the new HP ride down the block. Who is with me on this idea?
