Monorail Down Today

As a Front Desk CM, we all received messages saying that the monorail was down and would be until further notice.

We got this message right at 3:00 and by the time I left at 5:30, nothing had circulated saying things had changed.

Anyone know of what might have happened?

Wow...with the big spring break crowds it couldn't have happened on a worse day...it should be interesting to find out what happened...

I was walking to the spa after work and one of those maintaince cars that run on the track zoomed by. I was wondering what was going on

I bet I know what happened. Grizz broke into the castle again, and aimed the missile launcher at another boat, (3rd time this month) but this time, he missed and hit the monorail instead.

Grizz, stop doing that!

Why say somthing like that in the world of terrorists that we live in today? I know you meant it as a joke, but seriously think about your words before you post. It may offend someone

I've been living near to terrorism since a kid, courtesy of a small faction of Irish lunatics. The city I used to live in was bombed in the seventies, I've been evacuated from a London train station, had an alert aboard an aeroplane and metal detectors when going to the theatre. Maybe this gives me a different view on something that until recently has not been fully appreciated by the American media.

The absurdity of Bill’s post, combined with the smiley did not make any connection to me with terrorism, it was just plain amusing. Personally I’m not going to let terrorists upset my day to day life, and that will include cracking jokes. I still took trains when the Irish terrorists were detonating bombs in the stations and I was on one a plane flying to Orlando a few days after flights has resumed after the 9/11 atrocity.

This is not intended as a go at you s25843, were you not a caring soul, you would not have created that post, but wish to point out that from my perspective I feel there is nothing wrong in Bill’s post or attitude in this matter.

s25843, I kind of know what you are saying. But if we lose our sense of humor then the terrorists have succeeded, in part, because they have altered our life style. Don't get me wrong, I would not tolerate WTC/911 jokes anymore than I would people joking about bus bombings in Israel, attacks against troops in Iraq or train bombings in Spain. But light hearted jokes about missles don't really cross any line, at least not to me.

Besides, why would Grizz choose the Castle as a stronghold. I mean, the whole thing is made of fiberglass.

OK....enough already 'children'

No harm was done....now get over it!! I come to the boards to leave bickering kids behind.:brick: Now play nice!!

To get this back on topic, anyone know what happened to the monorail?? Was anyone on it when it went down? One thing I REALLY like about this board is that there are so many Cast Members that hang out here.:sohappy: If no one has told you guys recently, I appreciate all the hard work you guys do and all the nonsense I am sure you have to deal with in the course of a day. Thank you!! :)

I hate to be the one that does this, but it happened on 9/11, not 7/11. i only say this because 7-11 is a conveniance store, a quick-e-mart if you would...

I'm sorry, but it's funny to me when I have little sleep.
