OK, I want to learn something.
What does it mean to "root" a phone, or to "side load" an app. And what are ".apks" and why do we want to pull them off?
I tried context clues, but I am still not exactly clear. I know these things have to do with getting around restrictions. But I would really like to know more than that.

Its not entirely about getting around restrictions. Android is very open and allows you to install whatever applications you want on it without having to go directly through a specific store unlike iphone and itunes. This app is still unavailable for my Android. Do they ever plan on having this available for the droids in Canada?

Hoping now that Windows 8 has just hit RTM they start targeting those mobile devices as well.
