We are coming in sept and I'm wondering about the mnsshp. Do all rides attractions stay open and is it limited admission? Just trying to figure out if its worth it.

Yes, it's a hard-ticketed event and non-party attendees will be cleared out of the park when it begins. Many, but not all, attractions remain open.

I find the party to absolutely be worth it, however, in order to get your money's worth, you need to do the things that are NOT available during the regular park hours. Make sure you watch Hallowishes and Boo to You, visit the candy trails (especially later at night, when they start dumping candy in your bag), get your picture taken with the characters who don't regularly come out (Jack Sparrow, all 7 dwarfs, etc.), and watch the Villain Mix 'n Mingle (and be sure to stay to "mingle" afterwards). If you're going just to ride attractions, you're going to find it's a waste of money. Why spend extra money to do things you can do during the day?

True, we have through work a special price. 56 pp. I failed to mention we are just 2 adults. No kids. My g/f would say I'm a kid at heart tho

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? I tried it I did not like it and would not buy it again, but some people seemed to have fun.Can not remember if any attractions shut down.

Oh dear. I just can't justify the cost of it.:( I guess w/ 4 of us for and extra 200$ plus, the candy, meet n greets, parade I don't know...
I would really like to do it, but my DH really doesn't want to. We'll be down in Sept, and maybe will be thinking about it.
I just wish it wasn't an extra cost.:(

The event is worth it without question. Once the people without tickets get cleared out, the park has almost no waits for anything. If you go down and can get into the event, I would without question.

Jimmy Thick- Plus it has a different firework show...

From 2 adults, yes.

Forget the rides. Enjoy the music, the atmosphere, treating, the stage show (mix n mingle) the parade and fireworks.
I completely agree with that. Or if you don't want to use a park ticket that day, go in at 4pm (which you can do with your party ticket), do your favorite rides then, and then do the party stuff from 7pm.

Agreed. Completely worth it in my opinion also. The atmosphere is truly an unique experience, even for someone who has visited the park multiple times. It's absolutely one to cross off the WDW bucket list.

Well got our tix bought today. The more I read the more I'm sure. This is a good idea. May even try and find some costumes.

Go all out in costumes! My family of six went to MNSSHP a couple years ago in costumes and it was awesome! You'll find that many other people dress up as well, including adults! :D

We are frugal. The MNSSHP is so good that we are going twice. That's $476 for the four of us. It's absolutely worth it. The candy stations, the characters dressed up and the Boo to You parade alone are awesome. Plus, all of those extra offerings make for very short lines.

We tried it once. The parade was good, but the fireworks were the best I have ever seen! Candy everywhere. The rides you want to go on are open and the lines were not that long. However, my kids were young at the time and got tired and fell asleep on the riverboat (I have a great picture of Chip & Dale standing next to them while they were sleeping), so we ended up going back to the resort early. But, since it is just the two of you, I think you will have a great time.

My Wife and I are going to WDW In October to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We decided to go to the Halloween Party on OCT 31st and already have our tickets. We are trying to decide if we want to dress up or not. We have never been to WDW in the fall so this is a first mnsshp for us. Are there a lot of adults that dress up?

Thanks

Many, many, many adults dress up and I could not believe the expense many went too!!
Lots of fun - great take. You get to be really young again.

MNSSHP i think is the only party that is worth the money. While I do love Christmas time more than Halloween time its the whole atmosphere of MNSSHP that is what makes it worth it. The fireworks and the parade alone are worth the trip in at night but adding the ability to see Characters dressed up for Halloween and you being able to Trick or Treat it is fun to say the least. Not too mention the lighting around the park is great. Main Street has ghosts projected onto the building and the Haunted Mansion seems a little more intimidating as well.
