About how big are the trick or treat bags that they give you when you enter/check-in for the party? Do they usually fill up quickly or does it take a while to fill?

TIA! :)

They are fairly small and not of the best quality. It is usually a good idea to bring your own or buy one of the MNSSHP fabric bags they seem to have nearly every year.

I have never seen the MNSSHP fabric bags. Any price and/or pictures of past ones (although I am sure pictures of this years will surface tomorrow night/Wednesday morning)? Are they part one of those items only available durring the party? This is our first MNSSHP so I am not sure and haven't really heard much about them.

We got ours at the outlet store a few years ago and I think their regular retail was in the $20 range (we paid about $3) They will be among the items that are only out for the party. If no one beats me too it I'll take a picture of the ones we have when I get home this evening. You can certainly pick up a similar bag in terms of size and quality at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. for much less.

They are relatively small, but more than enough for the kids. I wish the candy was of better quality, but that is the way things go. I don't need a bigger bag because I am going to have enough stuff to lug around at the end: stroller, dead tired DD, camera bag, candy bag.

I don't know how you mothers can do this. :ROFLOL:

Here is what I found for the cloth bags....

It may be more than enough for the kids, but it is just my girlfriend and I and we don't have kids and luckily won't have that much to lug around (nah-nanny-pooh-pooh :p :drevil:).

I'll show my girlfriend this picture and anything else Yoda cares to show. She's the one that won't stop talking about trick or treating, so it might be one of those "if you wan't it, you buy it" sort of deals (even though I'll probably end up eating most of the candy :lookaroun)

We brought our own bag to the party as I knew they were small at the park.
I believe we got ours at the Disney Store before we left last year, but we may have got it at the parks too..but it does have the year 2010 on it with pictures of the characters in the park-specifically Minnie and Mickey are on it with their costumes they wear at the park among other characters. I would post a pic but I haven't looked into doing that yet on here.
Have fun at the party it is great!

I saw a Tweet earlier with photos of merch, there was a bag for around 3 bucks there that was halloween themed. Was at the Emporium.

Any link to the Tweet?

I saw a site that was highlighting some of the halloween merchandise for this year. She had a picture of a halloween theme re-usable shopping bag. Now I've not been to the MNSSHP before (going on Friday! :sohappy:) so I don't know if something that size would be overkill! It is the 15th picture down.

By the way, if anyone is looking for me I will TOTALLY be wearing that Minnie Mouse witch hat!

Wow, I just checked out the photos from that link. Is it just me or is this year's "theme" a little creepier than usual? Mickey and Donald look pretty intense. I'm not complaining as I think it looks really cool, but I feel like past years have been a little tamer with scarecrow themes and such

The reusable bags will be huge. The same size as from the grocery store (give or take a bit). I would start out with the ones they give you, and then start dumping it in a backpack if needed. Or buy the bag, and just carry it with you if you aren't going to bring a backpack/bag and use it when needed.

My kids hit all the trick or treat spots using the free bags they pass out and they were plenty big and held up pretty well. I think my son still has it and uses it to hold marbles or something.

We have not been for at least years and will be going next month!! Last time we went we got so much candy, the 5 free bags they gave us were not nearly enough. Is candy still handed out in such mass quantities? Some responses have made it seem like folks don't get as much candy these days or do some folks just not collect as much as possible like we do? :drevil:

I know the assumption is that they just switched to save money, but I had a thought. The year that we got all the chocolate stuff was also the year that it wasn't so hot outside (2008 i think, and it was in the low 60's.) Perhaps they don't bring that stuff out if there is a chance it will melt?

I thought so too. I was a little disapointed. I don't like my Mickey to look creepy!
