Hey all, We have a dilema. We go every year to WDW in December and check out MVMCP but we were wondering if we have been missing out on anything else going on in Halloween. Can anyone please tell us the pros and cons to either of these months or let us know which one you prefer and why. THANKS!

MNSSHP time is usually slower (and if you go early enough, there MIGHT be free dining). I did Halloween this year, and I'm planning on doing Christmas this year (Last week November/1st week December)

I've done both and had a blast at both. I loved seeing all the Christmas stuff. It was cool. My kids loved Trick-or-treating in the MK. We, I mean they, got tons of candy. We were lucky enough to be the family to officially open a trick or treat area in Tomorrowland. The CM announced our name and where were are from and gave the kids a whole bag of candy. This was added to the amount they got during the party.

I don't think you could go wrong at either party.

If you have already done MVMCP, you should definitely try the MNSSHP. It was such a blast. We went during free dining, got to enjoy MNSSHP, and the crowds were very minimal.

If you get into Halloween MNSSHP is a blast. My family and I will dress alike which make it a little more fun. Last year I went as Captain Jack and my wife and daughters dressed as the women of Tortuga

We have been to both twice. We love them both. Our favorite part of the the Halloween party is the Headless Horseman and the parade. You get all kinds of candy. The Christmas is great to get into the Christmas spirit. The parade and fireworks is our favorite for that party. The last Christmas party we went to (2005) was crowded. The Halloween (2003 and 2004) was definitely lighter crowds than the Christmas.

I like them both, but lean toward Oct and MNSSHP. I'm not into trick or treating or the characters, but loved the whole feel of the Halloween party. It was very unique.

If you've done MVMCP, definitely try MNSSHP out. I need to try MVMCP myself, but the Halloween party was so different and so cool. We got the rides done in between 6pm and 8pm and spent the rest of the time trick-or-treating, seeing the characters all dressed up and seeing the fireworks and parade. I will hopefully catch that party again this year!

Another plus is the parks in general are emptier and it was nice not waiting much for anything :D

I went to MNSSHP this year for the first time. I had so much fun! We went October 23rd ( I think), and I was so pleased at the at lack of crowds. Our whole stay there in the days before the party were great too. Literally, walked right on to Soarin' earlier in our stay. On the night of the party (a Monday) the MK was not crowded at all. The parade is fabulous, the vistors costumes are so funny, the fireworks are wonderful! We saw a whole family dressed as the Incredibles, the dad had on tights and a SMALL bathing suit over the tights with a strong looking tummy, so funny! I was very suprised at the adults dressing up along with the kids. I would go again for sure. I have been to the world over the Christmas Holiday but never to the party. I plan to one day!
