We did the Christmas party this past year, and though we liked it and had fun, I don't think we would spend the extra money for it again. However, I have heard good things about the halloween party, and we are going down in Oct. and plan to go. My husband keeps asking me if I really want to spend the money on it, when we felt the Christmas party wasn't really worth it. And now I too am second guessing it, but I feel it is something we haven't done, so maybe we should. Can anyone tell me if the party is similar to the christmas party.Don't get me wrong, we had fun at the party and I did enjoy seeing the special parade and fireworks, but do I want to spend an extra $40 per person to see that. Are there a lot of characters that you don't usually see out? I found at the Christmas party it wasn't all that different. Just a few. Our schedual is kind of busier than what I usually like, and I am torn between freeing up a night, or going to the party.
Understood, and for those that feel that way, I would say that MNSSHP and MVMCP are very similar. If anything, there are more performers and events during the Christmas party. So if you weren't crazy about one, I would suggest against going to the other.
But clearly, as with everything else Disney, different people get different things out of it. I don't do the costume thing, but do enjoy attending the parties. The parade and presentations are different as are the fireworks. I also enjoy others who spend a great deal of time on their costumes. I try to include an early December trip each year that does include MVMCP. Just a different presentation of the magic!
