MNSSHP Costume ideas for 2 adult women

I am taking my mother to WDW for the first time in September. We are attending the party on the 11th. My Mom is not the Halloween or Disney enthusiast that I am.
I am looking for really simple costume ideas. It would be cute if our costumes were related, but they don't have to be. They don't have to be Disney related either.
I know it is a bit early, but I like to plan ahead!

There are so many simple things. Do you like a specific sports team? You could simply wear team jerseys. That's what we are thinking about doing. Being from Boston my family has quite a few Red Sox shirts and hats. So we might just wear them that night.

Old Navy and Target usually sell Halloween t-shirts for $5, but I'm not sure if they will be available that far away from Halloween.

One yr for MNSSHP my sps and I dressed up as the MMC. We had black pants and white shirts and I got those black iron on letters for our names. When we arrived at Disney I went over to MK that morning and bought us some ears.

It's such a blast to see everyone dress up...You'll have fun..

Cowboys - all you need are your jeans, plaid shirts, and a straw cowboy hat.

I like the Mickey Mouse Club idea, too.

Or, you could just dress up like 2 people on vacation at Disney World!

Simplest costume ever.

Old white sheet + Scissors = Oooooo spooky ghost. :)

or cut many eyeholes and go as Charley Brown

Disney has certain guidelines/regulations when it comes to costumes and your face. So I don't think the ghost sheet would work in this scenario. It's a safety issue when it comes to getting on and off the rides safely. The guidelines should be listed on the sheet of paper your tickets come attached to.

Yeah, I forgot their no character head guidelines.

I guess you could work something out with a big face hole instead.

Or, just get a lot of blue stage makeup and a bald wig and go as a blue man - that would be pretty cool. (and messy if anybody touches you)

my mom and dad last year dress up in brightly colored harry potter style robes and were a hit with the villians last year, the wicked queen was especially impressed and took a little longer than normal with them at the meet and greet. I'm thinking of going as a evil fairy this year.

Wouldn't a couple tacky-tourists be hysterical?!

Little girls in jammies with pigtails. This could also be life-size dollies.

Good Witch / Bad Witch. All ya gotta do is buy some pointy hats in different colors and have t-shirts in coordinating colors to the hats made that say "Good Witch" and "Bad Witch".

Wear your regular clothes backwards. That's always fun and throws people off. Think Grandpa in Meet the Robinsons.

Be Madonna impersonators circa the '80s. That would be fun and not too difficult.

Twins! Think the Parent Trap!

Abbott & Costello.

Santa & Mrs. Claus. That totally throws people off at Halloween.

I could do this all day...
