Still isn’t official as TMZ link has been pulled

Strange as ESPN isn’t reporting yet….something must be in need of verification…..

I mean if you're waiting for ESPN to post it to mean it's legit lol....

On ESPN Eduardo Perez mentioned it during the Postgame of the Braves doubleheader, but it hadn't made to ESPN’s bottom line yet…and the other announcer didn’t acknowledge Eduardo….

Wasn’t wondering if it was legit per se, was wondering the reasoning as to why ESPN
acknowledging, even minimally

Didn’t even get the “we’re sorry to report….more details to follow “ type statement….

Further, TMZ reported and then the link was taken down….little strange as Pete was such a lightning rod…and Dikembe Mutombo was being covered across all ESPN Networks…

1st Round Playoff Predictions

San Diego over Atl
Mets over Milwaukee

Houston over Detroit
KC over Baltimore

My reach before the Playoffs begin - San Diego faces Mets in NLCS...meaning the NL Division winners are still without a Playoff Series Victory since the Bracketed format

Could just be how you are as a human. My all accounts, Dikembe was one of the best humans to ever play basketball. It's few and far to find people who had positive interactions with Pete Rose.

If my O’s get knocked out tomorrow would like to see Detroit in the WS for the AL. For the NL the Braves.
Detroit is a nice story and beating Houston would be fantastic…..hopefully they can finish tonight

In the last 4 years, we’ve been to Camden Yards as many times as Truist (Atl Braves home Park)…Camden is so nice and so is the Inner Harbour….i hope the Os can figure out how to win in the Postseason as we see the Braves and Dodgers bow out every year.

The Os young team has plenty of stars…if you want to use a Team as a pattern of what not to do, look no further than the Braves. They have locked up to long term contracts every position player save SS and LF. The lineup looked a little stale BEFORE the injuries hit and we expect to trot the same 7 Core out next year. We’ll see what happens….

Good luck tonight

Man, yet again another disappointing end to an awesome Orioles season. After last year, I honestly thought this was going to be the team to beat, especially when we had that hot start. Then all the injuries to the rotation happened. Then the brutal schedule in the middle of the summer where there was like 35 games in between a day off because MLB doesnt know how to schedule worth a damn. Then the offense got cold.

Mini rant: I haven't seen an Orioles WS in my lifetime (yet) due to being born 2 years after our last (the last O's WS was in '83). The closest I've came to seeing them get the job done were the 96/97 "wire to wire" seasons, the 2014 team and the 2023 team. I've lived through the rebuilds, the trades of superstars, hell the Diamondbacks are my NL team and I've already seen them go to the World Series twice. Out of all the teams I support, outside of the Ravens, the Orioles are the only ones that give me hope to finally seeing championships come back to this city. If sports depression was actually a thing, it's hit for at least the night.

I’ll remind you I’m in Atlanta….I’ve never been able to handle falling short in the Postseason. It’s always explained away down here with some of the reasons in your post above. The fact is our current version of the Braves is a young nucleus of players who 6 of the 8 Position Players are in long term contracts. Most of these players are nice guys, with one being a superstar. I’ll remind you we won the World Series when our superstar went out early in the year with an injury and didn’t return. Additionally, we haven’t won a postseason series with him on the roster, only exception was the shortened covid year. If we keep trotting that same core out year after year it will continue to stale.

The other issue with the Braves is the walk, single, three run homer philosophy…..we’ve had teams good enough to win titles, but the only two we’ve won were against teams with the same philosophy (Cleveland’95, Houston ‘21).

Look at San Diego’s talent and compare to the Os or Braves….which is feared the most? Swell guys or San Diego’s?
