Philly got it. On to the D-Backs for them and on to February for us.

Braves bats couldn’t make it happen.
The way we were producing runs, we had to shut them out to win......

Moving forward?

How to take the next step? With a line up with no holes?

The constant, and I mean the constant for decades here is the single, walk, 3-run HR approach. That is what derails in the post season.

The 2 titles we captured were clinched with shutouts in a Game 6.....

Personally, must throw Strider a bone as I expected him to look really bad, especially if we gave him a huge lead....during the season he gave it back multiple runs the next innning(s). We lost both of his starts, but he DID his job well enough to win...he was solid enough and must give that a mention....

Agreed on Strider. Solo shots don’t bother me as much. It’s 1 run. He pitched well enough to win, but the offense gave him no help at all.

I’d like to see some more singles as well. Braves lived by the HR all season. Died by it in the postseason.

Those innings with multiple runners on base, opposing pitcher struggling with control, 1 or less outs.....failing to score

They were there all year, and they escorted us out the door early...again

The HR is the Braves......lack of it is as well

Absolutely. 1st and 3rd, no outs, and no runs. Dangerous way to live.

We have many improvements to make on the pitching front too.

Pitching can use an upgrade….
Braves lost Strider’s 2 Starts 3-0, and 3-1

Offense?

In order 0, 5, 2, 1 was the run total in 4 Postseason Games

2 runs or less in 3 defeats….went 15 or 16 consecutive innings without a run to begin this Postseason

The Bracket Format
- Why is Houston immune?
- NL Division winners STILL haven’t won a Series; this Year’s NL Division winners went 1-8

Another Irritation was the Braves were closer to being SWEPT than winning this Series…we’re clearly the inferior team in everything measure….

I don’t know if I’d go that far.

But hard to argue cause we lost. Lol
Maybe a bit strong….

We did play solid defense….was very pleased to see Murphy behind the plate in finale…he IS a great receiver and it makes are marked difference with the dude on the mound

Cam Soda an adult entertainment company sent Philly many gallons of lubricant to grease the City light poles just in case the Phillies win game 7.

My Diamondbacks just made it to their 2nd World Series, and since the Orioles cant be there, this makes me just as happy.
I am an Orioles fan as well.

Congrats to the D-Backs and Rangers! It is great to see some different teams in the WS and will be happy with whoever wins.

Yes….Phillies history is full of “wows”

- 1st Title in 1980…with Big Red Machine cast off starting infield

- Played second fiddle to the A’s the entire time the A’s were in Phillly

- Only team Houston has been able to beat in World Series….without known assistance from trash can

Seems the only time a walk, single, there run Homer team can win the World Deries (or even win the Pennant) is when they play another

Small ball seems to win

This seems like a high and mighty post.
Possibly a bit condescending?
