Steve, I am chatting with Mktiggerman and he still can't get on the boards. He wanted me to give you a message, he contacted his ISP and this is what they said:

Road Runner updates new pages via the main DNS at Internic, if their web host has only set the DNS to automatically propogate it will not work. They will need to update their DNS via Internic to be able to access the new page.

He said there are also others who can't get on the board. Anyway, if you can help him out, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Steve, Pam (Kingdom konsultant) is having trouble getting on too, and i think MSU might be having problems as well.

I don't think Pam is going through roadrunner or anything.

Steve!

My heart goes out to ya. I just upgraded our Exchange server at work and it took me two days to figure out we weren't getting incoming e-mail because our T1 router was still pointing to our old Exchange server. These things NEVER go as planned! :hammer:

Yeah the annoying thing is there is nothing at all I can do. The domain wdwmagic.com is now poitning to a new IP address, but a few ISPs around the world have still not updated their DNS severs to reflect the change. It is totally up to those ISPs when they do this, and I cannot do anything at all to speed them up. (tha majority of ISPs update theirs every 24 hours). The settings are all correct at the server side here, and it seems that the majority of people are able to connect.

The same thing was happening to me. I am in the IT field, so at one of my client’s locations I tried the sight www.wdwmagic.com and it worked. So I got the IP address (62.105.97.41) of the server and typed it into my browser and I got the wdwmagic homepage but I still could not access the forums, I was still having a lot of trouble. Now I’m going to get a little technical now so bare with me. I went back to my client’s location and checked to see what his DNS servers were. I jotted that information down and when I got back to my office I edited my TCP/IP network setting to use these (151.202.0.85, 151.203.0.85) DNS IP address form my clients location and now it works great. If anyone is having this problem they can go into their network settings, then go to the propertied for you TCP/IP settings and edit your DNS for the above address and that should fix the problem. This procedure varies on different operating systems so I had to generalize. Fell free to IM me @ DonickCo or KlerTheWay on AIM and I will try to walk you through the process for your OS.

i'm posting from a friends house (triparkal), anyway... I still can't get on from home, however, I can dial in and access it via other ISP's...

any other roadrunner users here? If so, how long did it take you to get the site back?

Welcome back, everyone!

Rob, I'm on RoadRunner in upstate NY (nycap), and I got the site (www.wdwmagic.com and forums.wdwmagic.com) back last Thursday. photoalbums.wdwmagic.com took until last Friday. Don't know how the DNS update schedule for cfl compares with nycap. Good luck!

steve.. just a heads up, I can FINALLY access the site without AOL.. it's loading OK in IE, BEAUTIFULLY in Opera, horrid in AOL, and just as bad in Netscape.

Again.. 3 cheers for Opera!!
