Washington D.C. in Mid-June sometimes has wonderful weather, while other times it's like a blast furnace!mkt said:alrighty... more info time. What's the weather like in Mid June?
mkt said:alright... so I'll bring a parka and a pair of light shorts.. lol.
Raincoat or no raincoat... or umbrella... or nada?
Yeah, the pointy top with the red lights should be at the bottom of the photo! However, it's good to see you got a room so close to the red light district. :wave:mkt said:and I forgot to turn it correctly... back to my touristing now
Just like WDW! :wave:imagineer99 said:DC was built on a swamp. So, expect humidity.
mkt said:update time... I just got my 2 $10 Metro Farecards in the mail, and I ordered 2 tickets to view the inside of the Washington Monument ($3.50... that's right... TREE FIDDY!).
What else... what else. Activities are getting there... working on a quasi itinerary, to have an idea on how things will work once there.
As far as getting from Dulles to the Hotel when we arrive... how's this sound?
Dulles - West Falls Church Metro Station on the Washington Flyer Shuttle.
Take the Orange Line to the Federal Triangle Metro Station. Once there, take a cab the remaining 1/3 mile to the hotel... or if the weather is nice... we'll walk.
Also... I need dining suggestions. We need 1 nice meal, and the rest can be done cheap. Suggestions are needed. Thanks!
