The Disneyland version is actually a longer experience with more show scenes...It feels better paced where ours has the empty caves at the beginning and then drops you into the action with an abrupt ending... the shortest Pirates experience. Like the Cliff Notes Version... Disneyland Paris version seems to be the most fleshed out of the POTC versions...When we were there last ( this was years ago) the Pirates cast members were in costume...I don't mean uniforms with a vaguely piratey feel, but fill on costumes including plumed hats and frock coats... it was kind of amazing... I think our caverns should have another show scene... something better than the mermaids...maybe the changing Barbossa that DLP has... And maybe the treasure stash....

If by "tear out" you mean "replace with a better PoTC"... yes.
If we can put in a better version, I'm all for it. But we all know why it's not the best. Imagineers thought no one in Florida would want a Pirates ride since near the Gulf and Atlantic Ocean. They were wrong. They rushed to put in a version several years after the 1971 opening. Had they correctly anticipated the demand, a version much closer to the DL version would probably have been installed.

Is it only the worst because it’s missing the cave scenes? Marc Davis said he purposefully excluded those because he viewed them as only necessary for DL to get under the berm, not necessary to the story at all. He (and the other Imagineers) thought it was better to not include them, weirdly enough.
They also decided to put guests into the Caribbean as soon as they entered Caribbean Plaza instead of the time travel concept used in the DL Version. Something subsequent generations of Imagineers seem to have forgotten about.

I would prefer we not add any more elements from the two decade old movie franchise. Frankly, The constant "Where is Captain Jack Sparrow" dialog was annoying in 2006 and considering how the movies have largely faded from the public consciousness they are even more annoying now.

They also had something similar called Western River Expedition which they thought would be more appealing to the WDW audience which famously never happened. Honestly part of me is glad it never happened because it would have needed A LOT more work to bring it in line with modern sensibilities.

That’s true for all the versions though.
I know and I personally think it has morally confused the message of the attractions. The original Imagineers intended guests not to sympathize with the Pirates and think of them as bad guys, That is why their blatantly anti-social activities The Auction, Chase, Arson were not exactly presented in a favorable light. In the POTC movies while not necessarily a role-model audiences are expected to sympathize with the Jack Sparrow character. By adding Jack to the ride the clear morality play of the original attraction is thrown out the window especially with the finale of Jack in the treasure room literally saying "To Piracy and it's many shiny rewards". Understood in this context it becomes painfully obvious why the Auction Scene was re-done 11 years later.

My niece and nephews went on this for the first time at our trip earlier this month, and they had no idea (and didn't care at all) about Jack Sparrow. They should honestly just take him out.

I honestly hate the dialog changes more than I hate the actual AA'S he can stay or go. I don't really care. I have a full article on this very subject.

Off topic - but I like all the different versions!

I actually think Florida has a great Pirates - I like the way you travel through the fort, board a boat and “escape” into the caves that drop you into the action.

I also think the Paris (and formerly California) version of Tower has some fun moments
Seems to me like a book report on the DLR Pirates...

Yes. And the light tunnel at the beginning... and multiple struts throughout the ride...
Remember -- when that ride opened in 1975, people weren't as nonchalant about personal responsibility for safety. When told to keep their arms and hands inside the coaster, they complied (other than a brief hand raise at the top of the hill).

And until the POV ride videos became a thing, people actually believed they might lose a hand on that ride.

Not sure where you arrived from… but the era of standing up in truck beds, bench seats, no seat belts, and free range childhood would like a word with you…

The movements are exactly the same so they changed audio to fit. The audio used to refer to Red the Prostitute to show her "backside". Now it's show your "larder" or something like that. It's blatantly obvious.

I believe at least one person person has lost a finger this way...

The line about about Redd was "I’m not spongin’ for rum! It be gold I’m after. Strike your colors, ya brazen wench. No need to expose your superstructure!" Everything after strike your colors was removed. The line you are talking about was for the larger woman being sold, "Shift yer cargo, dearie. Show ’em yer larboard side!" Larboard means the left side of a ship. Just another name for port.
