Rumor MK Space Mountain REVISED in 2026? (One track? side-by-side seating?)

I don't disagree but there is also a big drawback to the single wide seating. Not that this is a typical first coaster for a kid but, kids riding space mountain for the first time probably want to sit next to there parents or an older sibling and not feel alone. I know I did the first time I rode space as a kid, I was kinda scared to sit by myself not knowing what to expect.

my wife was more scared than our kid. Our almost 6 year old rode it in March for the first time and loved it

Imagine the amount of LL passes one could sell due to reduced capacity. The refurb will pay for itself.

A single track refurb would not reduce capacity. It could actually increase capacity a little. The other space mountains have a single track with double wide seating to make up for the capacity of having two coasters. With one ride track you could increase the length of track and therefore increase ride time and capacity. Win-win!!

Not unless you actually extend the ride enough to actually fit additional multiple blocks to actually allow an additional concurrent train. Otherwise lengthening would risk decreasing capacity due to starvation.

We're in the middle of our vacation right now. Did 2 days in MK and rode it twice. Besides the outdated bobsled cars, the general lack of any care to the space show scenes (weak lighting and projections) and lack of trying to hide any of the distractions from the track maintenance lighting was very disappointing. The whole ride feels tired. It just needs a full overhaul in general.

I chuckle seeing people pay almost $200 to go to MK and sprint toward a 50-year old roller coaster at 8:30 am.

The soundtrack built into DL Space Mountain enhances the ride so much more than anything MKs has going on. Not to mention they actually upgrade DLs semi regularly with new stuff. It's so much better

I actually prefer our coasters (as in coaster layout) but it is in desperate need of some love. At least they turned the music volume up.

Pretty loud for me in mid April but (TMI) my wife got me this scooper with a camera to clean out my ears for Christmas. Never heard better!

I heard it really well pulling into the station, but it seemed subdued somewhat. Maybe I'll look into an ear rinse!
