Rumor MK Space Mountain REVISED in 2026? (One track? side-by-side seating?)

Does current SM have amazing capacity compared to other SMs or other Disney coasters? Hypothetically I'd assume it's double others with a double track. I'd assume that's not something you want to get rid of

I lost track of this. (Pun intended 🙂 )

What happened to him. He came in out of the blue and seemingly had some inside information for a while and then now he's disappeared.

What was the fraud?

He spent several hours throwing out a bunch of truly insane rumors and then deleted everything. I don't remember what they were now, but think totally unbelievable stuff like Disney is going to tear down the whole structure of Spaceship Earth and replace it with a roller coaster.

The only explanations that made sense to me were that he was having some kind of mental health crisis (the way some of the posts were written felt that way) or he'd leaked one piece of true information he wasn't supposed to and then made up a bunch of crazy stuff to try to deflect from it.

Was the Space Mountain rumor pre or post "breakdown"? Not that it is very reliable either way, but still.

while I agree, that means nothing to them anymore and is exactly why they would change it, lets hope not.
Fair point.... Ugh, I can't imagine a Tomorrowland without it.

I know others exist without it but still.

Anyways yeah, I think the timeline could possibly be a bit later (unless they want a reopened SM to open the same time Cars and Villains do as they take the rest of Tomorrowland offline?), but I feel it's a mix of "it's about that time to redo it" and "Tomorrowland is likely next on the redo plate for MK".

I feel we're gonna see a solid direction for TL depending how Elio and TRON: Ares do.

Yes
And what about when the only run 1 track? A new single track with double seating would be just fine for capacity
I'd also assume that more traditional coaster cars are probably faster to load/unload which could help too. Space is easily the ride that takes me the longest to get in and out of at wdw thanks to my long legs.

In general the accessibility of the current coaster cars probably isn't great by modern standards and that right there could be a big point in favor of a redo instead of just a refurb

The talk of "one track" really only makes sense to me if financially they were able to utilize an off the shelf-model. I don't see a point otherwise. The goal I would assume would be to deliver the cheapest, biggest bang for their buck. Single track with new cars or retracked original with new cars. :shrugs:

Nothing but speculation at this point. It's been greatly assumed that some refurb is needed at some point fairly soon. You have no clue what the end result will be. So this comment is completely and utterly pointless.
> The loss of the iconic two tracks system
> The loss of the original facade
> The loss of the iconic Star Tunnel and retro optimistic future theme

The "iconic" two tracks system is meh. I think we use the word iconic too liberally nowadays.

The other two are not part of the rumor at the moment. And even if they did, I don't see how you could form the opinion of something being "ruined" without having even the slightest idea what the replacement would be.
