Notice the fake Marvel logo? They can's use the Marvel brand because of the Universal contract, so they use "Super Heroes" and make Heroes look exactly like Marvel. It's pretty clever, but it makes you wonder how much the time the lawyers have spent on this...

Does anybody know if the doorknob is new? I have never seen or heard of this greet not once. And that being a daily thing would KILL amongst guests.

Certainly seems new...it's crazy what WDI has floating around in their labs. Wish this stuff would be robust enough to be used daily in the parks.

I cant even begin to comprehend what i just say! :greedy::greedy::greedy:

its a shame that they dont do this on a regular basis anymore. I always remember so many characters out when i was a kid, and it sucks that they dont do that anymore, but holy rarity!!! and Dumbo! unreal...i would really like to know now what they paid for that...

Well if you're renting out the entire magic kingdom for 5 hours, I'm pretty sure you can afford whatever characters you want..... Whats an extra couple tens of thousands when you're dropping Millions for the MK?

You really think it costs that much? I've always wondered. I guess it makes sense. I'd love to get a quote from Disney on what that would cost - you think if I call CRO in a few hours when they open they'll tell me?

;)

I'm guessing you would have to pay enough to make up the cost of all the regular day guests who are not in the parks spending money, plus the costs for keeping any rides/areas open, plus food, plus employees that need to work, plus a premium for having the park to yourself.

I see a lot of moaning on #disneytwitter about how much was done here vs nothing at the 24 hour party. Yet no one has the cajones to take it to Shawn Slater - @disneyshawn. Tell all yer twitter pals

Or pick up a pen and write guest relations. Complaining in an echo chamber does nothing and gets you more dance parties

For this sort of event, does one select from "tiers" of characters (like cable packages) or do you go in and request a la carte?

At least it was nice to see what it looks like when WDW actually tries and goes above and beyond to please the customer. Shame it takes many millions of dollars for them to even be bothered.

Love the HM tightrope walker!

About 33 years ago, the International Shriners convention was in Orlando & we went. (Dad is a Shriner.) The Shriners did a buyout of MK one night & another night they did SeaWorld. Didn't think about it at the time, as I was 10, but that must have cost a pretty penny even 30 plus years ago. My Mom was more impressed with SeaWorld, but I think that's because she could buy a Mai Tai & stroll around with it.

Oh, well. As the saying goes "Them that has---gets!". Unfortunately, the vast majority of us have neither the money or the connections, so are not privy to the getting.
There was a time when merely going to Disney World garnered you the right to "get" everything. Back when Disney treated all guests like VIPs. The disdain that WDW shows toward guests in the parks is jaw-dropping.
