Incase you thought it might not be busy..

As of 3:55pm the announcement went out that the Magic Kingdom park is at Phase 2 - essentially the 2nd of 4 - which means:

At this time, admission is limited to Resort Guests, Annual and Premium Passholders, Guests with Park Hopper tickets, and Guests re-entering this Park today. Guests using WDW Resort Transportation and Guests in taxis will be admitted. Guests not meeting the above criteria are told the Park has reached capacity.

Just some clarification..

Phase 2 at 3:55 was actually a downgrade. So, obviously prior to that it was atleast ar phase 3. If it went to Phase 4, i dunno. Maybe someone else does :)

If it followed previous patterns, it probably went into phases around 1pm, climbed until 2-3pm, then started going back down at 3-4pm.

Who were the people saying July 4 was not busy on the same scale as New Years? Think again!

As an aside, thank goodness for the people who go on July 4 - their patronage helps keep the performance numbers up so we can all talk of new attractions. Nobody wants to be the one standing in line for two hours in the hot sun, but if no-one does, layoffs come and new attractions don't get built.

It's moreso what they do then when they come. Fall, typically pretty slow, is very profitable for Epcot thanks to Food/Wine fest. Yes, the fest does get busy some day, but other days, not so much. Essentially buying all that food and doing the events makes up for the smaller crowds.

Does phase one mean they don't allow nonscheduled Cast Members in? I'm pretty sure thats what you meant...right?

I never noticed how packed the magic kingdom is on the 4th,this is the First Time in 5 years that I have never been to Disney World during the 4th, But of course I'm getting ready to leave Next Week to go to Disneyland's Birthday party on July 14th thru the 18th and then onto Vegas for a few days . :sohappy: :sohappy:

Final Magic Kingdom guest count today was somewhere around 60,000 guests. 60,000 people is around the amount of people who visit Epcot on New Year's Eve so use your imagination to picture just how crowded MK was today.

does Disney reimberse people who bought a ticket for the fourth, and was turned away? I know i would be ticked if i came down for the fourth and was'nt allowed in. but i woulden;t have to worry about that though, being an ap that always stays on property..
