MK Parade from 1990-91

Hey everyone, I was going through some old videotapes the other day transferring them to DVD and came upon some old Walt Disney World vacation videos from when I went in 1990 and 1991, and noticed we taped the afternoon parade both years. So this got me interested in what the name of that parade was, and when it began and ended. The music from the parade is very catchy (but what disney music isnt? :lol: ) and I remember every word from it and have for years even though it was so long ago. For those of you who may not know what I'm talking about the lyrics are like this:

I REMEMBER THIS PARADE! I saw it when we went in '90 and we have a video of it. *recorded by my dad* if I ever get my website going and get the hardware needed to upload videotape onto the computer, i'll have to put it up.

Talk about timing! I just finished editing my video of this parade yesterday. It was the Disney Charecter Hit Parade. My June 1990 video of it is literally just up at Disney Central

Thanks marni1971! I have been wondering FOREVER what the name of this parade was! I have two years of this parade taped and it seemed to change in 1991 from what it was in 1990. The music was the same, but it featured some different floats, like the Mickey Mouse Club (MMC) on The Disney Channel, with teens skateboarding and playing on the float, as well as a few others. The funny thing about 1990 when we taped it was it had been raining that day, so the sides of Main Street looked like yellow walls because EVERYONE (i am not kidding) bought a yellow Mickey poncho

Man, that's the first song i rember-although i was only about 5 months old, i rember watching that parade- Feb 20, 1991- born, and July 1991- First trip to disney!! I bet i have that on video too!:sohappy:

I remember too! I was about 9 yo then. I've been trying to find that song high and low. There was a steamboat willie float with steam coming from the stacks. I have this on video too. If I get my dazzle soon, I will try to upload it.

I never got to see that parade. I was not down there in those years.
