MK Fireworks Dessert Party

They have chocolate truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, pistachio creme brulee, small cheesecakes, fruit, and various other little treats. They also have a variety of drinks such as lemonade and iced tea. A very nice selection - and I was impressed by the quality.

Have you already attended?

Went last night. The value of the included desserts is well above the past parties I have been to for the price. As mentioned already, they do ask everyone stand at the rail/edge for the viewing of the show.

The treats were refilled throughout the night, and after the show they didn't hurry us out, either.

They also had a kids area with a CM, some activities and a coloring table.

I was really irritated by the prices of this, until I saw the blog pictures.

The food looked amazing and the view looked amazing too.

I would pay.

It looks like it was delicious fun! :slurp:
On a related note, I remembered one time there was a change in the Tomorrowland Terrace that had full service dining? I think it was buffet style for up to $30 or so - Does anyone remember this? The next time we came back, it was gone altogether.

Am I the only one who thinks they could have used nicer, table-clothed, tables for the buffet, instead of food service, back of the house, stainless steel? I know I'm nitpicking, but for $18 a head, little touches should be addressed. They could have just thrown some white table cloths on those tables, would have made for a more formal atmosphere. Personally, for $18, I think you should get a reserved table and servers.....that's just me though.

The food looks good though.

I'm sure it would be MUCH more for that. But the tablecloth idea as seen in other event parties could have been used.

No, that sounds about par for the course for this. I hope people like it, i hope its successful. Its a good idea.

You're right it probably would be much more than that, but there wouldn't be any good reason, other than to suck more money out of the guest. With the exception of the real high class places, you can go to most TS restaurants on property and only spend roughly 22-24 plus a tip per person and you are getting more food (though the buffet style lends itself well to gorging on sweets. :D I wonder how many cheesecakes I would need to eat to make Disney lose money on my ticket.). Is the extra 4-6 dollars paying for each server?? I suppose the extra margin could offset the cost of paying servers.

I stand by my table cloth comment. :)

I agree Marni....What the heck is that? What next? Illuminations churros party? Fantasmic smoked Turkey leg party? No wait, Organic water tasting party for wishes......Gimmee a break.......I cannot believe Disney pays numb skulls to sit around and come up with this garbage.......this is such a joke. BUT, I bet there are reservations for this already.....I LOVE EVERYTHING DISNEYWORLD, but honestly, sometimes I feel like I am being extorted at WDW. My last trip I had dining plan, but the trip before that, lunch at cosmic ray's for two adults and a kid's meal, combos only, drink and entree, no dessert was like 30 bucks......We went to Logan's Roadhouse the next evening in Kissimmee and paid just over thirty bucks for two steaks and a kids meal with unlimited drinks. The extortion never ends. I think Walt would hate some of the tactics these new pinheads in the company come up with.....
Okay, Once again I opened my mouth without having any knowledge of the event. I stand corrected. After viewing the pictures of the party, the limited number of guests present, and the view available.......I would, and plan on, doing this on my next trip. This is clearly better than standing street level, shoulder to shoulder with other guests. I humbly apolgize to the WDW Cast members who came up with this. Clearly, this is a good plan and deal...........

We always got our own dessert, like an ice cream cone, sat at the terrace and watched the fire works...I guess those days are gone.

Hopefully security won't turn you away from parking there. If you aren't staying there or have dining reservations, they could restrict the parking and turn cars away. They do this sometimes during high demand dates.

I'm sure alot of people will be thinking to do this on the 3rd and 4th!

Yes! I've been made aware of this. A CM from the Polynesian gave me a couple tips to get there. Just gotta play it smart :animwink:

Maybe they added seats or people cancelled, but I just booked for 8/4 (the only day I tried they didn't have room was 8/3, the one night we planned to be in MK). We LOVED the Fantasmic! balcony seating they used to have at DL so I figured we should to give this a try, it may be a once-in-lifetime. When I looked at what our trip is costing, this is a drop in the bucket (we get to come so rarely). Thanks to everyone for all the info and the great pictures. I'm excited.
