In addition to the 4 times they did it last week, MK has extended park hours twice this week already.

WED 19th from 7 to 8
THUR 20th from 7 to 8
FRI 21st from 7 to 8
SAT 22nd from 8 to 9
Sun, rained all day, very low attendence
MON 24th, VERY BUSY, from 8 till 9. (90 min wait at Splash, 75 at Space, 70 at BTM)
Tues 25th, from 7 till 8
Wed 26th ????? not sure, anyone know???
Today ????? we will see....

Its good to see that WDW is willing to admit when they were wrong on projecting attendence, and do the right thing by giving aeveryone and extra hour. Lets hope the better then expected attendence continues, and the April hours get an adjustment.

By the way, MK did not extend park hours this many times in the middle of the day ALL OF LAST YEAR. Its a very rare thing for them to do, and I only saw it a few times last year. Now its like we expected it everyday we go in to work. When the do extend it out like this, CM's that work late, GET FORCED EXTENDED as well, its not like they even ask us, its not an option. But most don't mind, do to the fact that most want more hours anyway.

Anyway, I think this better then expectd attendence is good for everyone, CM's will get more hours, and they have even loosened the purse strings on OT. Guests will get more park amd attractions hours, and stockholders get more money, and that can mean more attractions and entertainment down the road. I think that this is GREAT news for all, except maybe the people that were expecting now lines or crowds.

Good news in general, but I've read reports that the park was virtually empty during the extended hour because many guests just didn't realize the extention had happened. Also, there are cases where folks have planned their day based on the original hours, which could include PS at a resort restaurant. Their plans COULD have been different had WDW not slashed the hours in the first place. CM's could have made better plans vis a vis their families knowing in advance what time they'd be home that night, etc.

It's great that hours were added, but it would be much better if WDW weren't micromanaging their hours on a day to day basis. Set reasonable hours and stick with it. It's better PR for guests, better for planning and better for CMs. Hours should NEVER have been reduced to 7 pm during peak season in the first place. It was an overreactive measure.

I wouldn't say it was an overractive measure, of course maybe it wasnt the best but they did what they thought was right, and obviously it wasnt, they were expeting the war to hit hard on attendance so I think thats why the hours were cut so bad.
