MK 24 hour party 2015 - Coolest Summer Ever

This will be my third year going. I take my oldest son only, it's kinda like our little thing. I don't care too much for the dance party events. I just love the fact that I can be in a park for 24hours and not get escorted out by security. LOL. We like to see how many rides we can do. This year hopefully will be our first year to be there the full 24 hours. Other times we went from 6pm to close as I had to work my day job first. This year if all goes as planned we will be leaving our house at 3:30 to get to MK by around 5:30 to catch the rope drop show. We usually leave for home around 7am. This year will make for a crazy long day for sure, will probably push 30+ hours from my house and back again.

As far as I've heard, it is. Horse-drawn for A&E, and the float.

Also - a lot of people are looking forward to rare characters during the party. Please don't look forward to this.

What about music wise? Would be cool if they took PTNs new frozen float music and use that for the pre parade lol, but I doubt it.

Not very impressed by the offerings this year. Not really geared towards me, either, which I'm fine with. Last year was fun though and seemed to offer a bit more. I'd rather be in Disneyland for their 24 this year. Their lineup looks nice. They get a Mary Poppins sing-along. We get Frozen (yes I know that's the theme of the party and the summer but that's not really my point).

I think character greetings are lacking severely on both coasts though compared to at least last year, IMO.

Heh they named the pre parade A Frozen Fantasy...

I'm assuming they are just going to play a instrumental of Let It Go or something.

I like the idea of this event and considered going to a similar one on Feb 29th a few years back.

I have two opposing thoughts on it, though:
1) "24 hours at the Magic Kingdom sounds awesome! It's my favorite park!"
2) "24 hours at the Magic Kingdom, or any park for that matter.. That's a lot of park time. There comes a point where it stops being fun and you're just enduring it to say you did it."

Of course, you don't have to stay for the full 24 hours but it kind of feels like a marathon where you'd want to.

20 years ago thought #1 would have easily won out. I think thought #2 pretty much wins it, now.

Fun start this morning. Went to activate my AP voucher. First, no ticket booths open. Went to the long line at Guest Relations. Got to the window. Oops, all our systems are down. They had me write my name and address on a form and handed me an RFID card to get in. In the park now, still have to find out how my FP+s are affected since my account won't show an activated ticket.
