Quick hello

Boy, that M:S death thread got out of hand FAST. I'd like to say a lot of things in there, but I'm afraid :lookaroun

Anyway...
I only read as far as the news release. The "accident" threads always end in people shouting at each other from their self-appointed "My opinion is worth more than yours pedestals", so it's easier to leave them alone to bicker amongst themselves.

I said some stuff in the beginning there, but then I got tired and went to bed.

Now it's suicide to attempt to say anything.

And even the chores they *know* they are supposed to do they need sirection for no matter how many times they have done it...

My favorite is:
Dot: George, would you get the trash together to be taken out?
George: Okay. Where are the bags?
Would you get one out for me?
Could you hold that bag open?
Would you mind getting the bathroom wastebasket?
Oh and on your way back, check the den's.
Would you put the the clean bag in the basket?
etc. etc. etc.

Next time, of course, Dot does it herself.

It thought my post was well thought out and researched.
Of course, it was almost completely ignored.

Juggles Joe! Nice to see you, How's things?
Going well. Have a long weekend, off until Tuesday. Sue was scheduled to come over this evening but she has to open the shop tomorrow for a couple of customers. We will be heading to my folks for the weekend tomorrow evening (they have not yet met Bramble) and will stay a couple of days there.

I read it. I thought it was great.

Last year for my Communications I final I wrote a research paper about Roller Coaster safety and all the incidents that can happen.

Each and every case that I saw was not because of the ride, but rather the rider. Rides are built so that they are foolproof against things like death, if the rider cooperates. A park can't control the riders. People don't understand that if a ride wasn't safe, it would not have been built be built. Period.

But that's another discussion for another time.

Those sorts of threads don't work on reading well thought out posts, they are more concerned about having arguments about who is right, who is wrong and who is more important. They are best avoided.

Believe me, the genius of it isn't lost on me.
Pretend like I haven't a clue how to do anything, and she'll do it!

The man loves WDW as much as I do though.
I gotta keep him!

OMG! You must have our home wire-tapped. This exact same conversation goes on in our house every week, with the addition of the "Please don't take the trash can up through the basement, and out the front door." argument.

"Why?"
"Because it drags dirt and leaves through the basement and the upstairs hall"
"But if I go out the basement door, I have to come back down to lock it."
"So?"
"So, I don't want to do that. It's a waste of MY time" (emphasis mine, not his)
"Fine. But if you take in through the house, you'll have to vaccum up after yourself."

"Why?"

Did you buy the tie?

Of course.
I took all those pictures at home; I completely forgot about the camera while there. I also hot a Mickey Mouse USA print, but I can't get a picture of it.

Yes indeed. There should be a day trip to the coast for fish and chips - alfresco if the weather is acceptable. Plus my folks will love Bramble - particularly Mother, she's really looking forward to seeing the little mutt.
