I lost a good friend who was 2 years older than me to Viet NAm, then 2 years later his brother (my age) committed suicide. Their mother never got over it.

Wow.
We saw so much of that sort of thing.
The boys who made it home alive - many of them didn't do well at all.
They were so, so young and had seen and done things that changed them forever.
