Hi! I'm back!

Dana - sorry you have to have surgery, but believe me, you'll feel soooo much better afterwards. Laproscopic isn't that bad, and the recovery is pretty easy.

Nibbs - I don't envy you house-hunting. It can be the most stressful time of your marriage. Just try to keep a positive outlook, and remember that whatever you decide on, it's an investment. Good luck with it all! The right place is out there for you!

Thanks Betty. It's just so hard getting excited buying a house when all you have to look forward to is crap. :lol:

We got so discouraged when we went house-hunting. In fact we gave up for a while, then our house found us!

Well see there is this condo that we like...it's in great condition...doesn't need rehabbing...but we're worried about the re-sale value. Which of course is something we have to consider. Plus, we have only looked at houses one time...and we don't have to be out of our apartment until January...so we've got time. It's just hard...and I knew it was...but I didn't realize it was this hard.

How can you find the perfect house...when you see nothing but inperfection? (Wow...in that last sentence, I feel like I"m really getting in touch with my Carrie Bradshaw! :lol: )

right now it's a buyer's market, so don't be afraid to look at things that are higher priced - you can probably negotiate a good price if the owner has had it on the market for a while.

Yeah...that's what I"m hoping. (I can't believe I'm getting on the good end of the deal with this by the way! :lol: I'm really happy the real estate boom is busting! :sohappy: )

And so we keep looking. :)

Lucky dog! We had a sellers market when we bought our house. We overbid by $15000, and STILL lost it. The only reason we have it now, is that we were bid #2 (out of 6!!:eek: ) and the first bidders got relocated at the last second.

Trust me...I know how lucky we are. I'm sure we couldn't have afforded something if the boom wasn't busting.
