Thanks. I'm over it I think, and I've decided that I do not want to sub, so I'm hitting Wal-Mart and the mall tomorrow for applications. Seems like a much better choice for my mental health.
I'm just a bit annoyed that they didn't even have the courtesy of calling me....

They'll be hiring for the holiday season.

They should have called you.

Hi! I just thought I would intrude on your conversation. I check out this thread quite often and often find that I can relate to a lot things that you are talking about.

I finished Physician Assistant school last August and unfortunatley didn't pass my boards....so I spent about 8 months working 2 jobs that paid no money and I didn't really enjoy. In May I got married (which was wonderful) and we moved to New York in July. I recently took the boards again and just found out I didn't pass again :cry: ....I don't know what the deal it...I have always done really well in school. So since the end of May I haven't been working. I am so ready to start working again but I really need a good job that can pay for my student loans and for board review courses.

Wow that was a long rant.....anyway my name is Chrissy and since I am home all day everyday I would love to join in your chat!:wave:

It depends on where you work. I worked for 2 seperate Bath and Body stores the past 2 holiday seasons and they both kept me on after the holidays. They also like people who can work any shift instead of just evenings and weekends.

I think I am going to head out to another Bath and Body this afternoon to put in my application just so I can get out of this house!

I'm so sorry about your problems with the boards! Don't be too discouraged.
Maybe the third time will be the charm. Obviously you're intelligent and capable, or you wouldn't have gotten as far as you have. Have faith in yourself. . .you'll make it happen!
Good luck with your job hunt and until you find something, come here and vent all you like. You'll feel better and maybe have some fun too!

That is Layla...and she is my little girl...she is very cute but quite the bad little girl.

Thanks for the welcome!! I have totally felt the black cloud over me too!! My family keeps telling me that when God closes one door he opens another.....I am still waiting on those doors to open! It doesn't help much that I have moved around so much in the past year--I haven't really made any friends here yet.

Within a little over the past year I have moved from Philadelphia, to my hometown of Altoona, PA, to Pittsburgh and now to Long Island :hammer:
