Yay! My SIL went to some store on Long Island last Saturday and found hers. I still have no idea what I'm wearing to the wedding, but at this point, I don't care!

That's the spirit!
I'm going with a friend of mine. She's about 20 years older than me, but she has excellent taste and is a great bargain hunter. I know she won't let me get the wrong thing.

OT once again. . .
I'm going Mother of the Bride dress shopping on Thursday.

That will be fun!

My mom waited so long to pick out a dress. The lady that owned the dress shop where I got my dress would call every so often and ask if she wanted to come try on some dresses. She kept telling me "I promise I won't let your mom show up in her pjs!" Finally one day when I went in for a fitting she tried on a couple of dresses. She ended up with the second one she tried on.

There's an awful lot of matronly-looking things out there.... :(

That gives me hope.
Both the mother of the groom and I are wearing black.
Since the bridesmaids are wearing apple red, I think black is a good choice and will look elegant. It also gives me lots of options. I'm keeping an open mind as to length. I'm not crazy about tea length. Either floor length or cocktail.

That was my Mom's problem too. I have a very young Mommy (she was 18 when she had me) and she didn't want anything that made her look old, but the not so old looking dresses were not really good for her body shape. To make things worse my stepmom has a tiny little body and of course wore a little dress to match:rolleyes:

Black is great...gives you a lot of options.

My bridesmaids wore brown tea length gowns with a pink ribbon around the waist..my mom was worried about clashing with their dresses so I tried to talk her into black. She ended up with a silvery/grey dress....let me see if I can find any pics.
