Oy.
I'll be thinking of you.
And I'll also be here to vent to.
I have off tomorrow, my first Monday off since Christmas, other than my trip time. I'm soooo looking forward to it. I work Wed, Thurs, Sat and Sun this week.
I'm counting money at church in the morning, then working on the invitations for the graduation party. I think my mom is coming back here Tuesday night, but it might not be 'til Wednesday. DS has Honors night Wednesday, so she wants to go to that, then she flies back to FL Thursday afternoon. She had planned to return Wednesday til she found out about his Honors Night, so she changed her plans. I think she's told us seventeen times now how that cost her an extra $60.

Hello Sweets!
How was your Mother's Day?

Hi Jess! How was Mother's Day?

:brick: I won't bore you with tales of how my rotten toddler chose today of all days to decide she no longer needed a nap. :dazzle: She's been a mess all evening. Crying at every little thing.

However. Having said that... I had a great morning - I was on sundayschool duty and they were short in the nursery so I bumped over... and that was alot of fun. I spent the morning with 3 other girls and 9 babies just playing and remembering the days when my girly was that small.

All in all, except for my turkey bird's mood currently it was a great mother's day.

Awwww - she's just being a typical toddler Jess. Trust me, I had one who never napped!!!!!
One thing you might try though is "quiet time", where she has to stay in her roomfor a designated time. I used to use the kitchen timer for it (I actually wore one out....), and if she sleeps, fine, but if not, she still gets some down time, and so do you.

I did that too.
I would put a baby gate on her room door and just let her stay in there for a designated amount of time. Sometimes she'd fall asleep. . .other times she'd just play quietly. Called it "whisper time".

I wish I could talk about it right now. Maybe one day I can. It is too personal right now. My sisters were somewhat great but they just didn't understand.

Funny story- since we are giving mom and dad a memory book for their anniversary, we are trying to get more background on their first yrs of knowing each other and dating. Just trying to get mom to sit down and finish one story was funny. She would tell like about 3 or 4 stories in one. I don't think we really got passed the first 5 yrs of them knowing each other. We did tease them about seeing other people before each other. They were teenage sweethearts.
