How'd it go?

I'm reading through everything again, but I have a better feeling about what he will be doing next year. I liked our special needs teacher very much.
As far as evaluation results.... His behavioral assessment gave him a composite IQ score of 62, which is very low. However, his lack of independent verbal skills contribute to that. The psychological profiles we filled out as his parents placed him in the mid-range also. Ultimately, I have to look beyond the number to the attitude with which things were presented. That was very optimistic - not seeing him as limited, but still with potential. Everyone that has worked with him this year is in agreement as to his progress, and feels he will continue to do so.
So, my feelings are mixed. I am very proud of how he is doing, but he has a long road ahead of him. And I'm still trying to figure all this stuff out in my head.

You're being realistic and hopeful.
It's hard to balance that, but you are.

Hi Jess! I don't know of plans for mother's day, but Mike and I are taking the kiddos to the Akron zoo tomorrow. :)

Well, Vince...I mean you'll still get to see your family, of course, maybe not as much as now...but you will get to see them. You should not rush anything with this girl. If it's gonna happen...it will...but I really don't see it happening. She just did not seem very interested to begin with. So, while you can probably have her as a friend...I don't see it turning more than that. And what do you mean make it work with Disneyland...like actually getting to work there?

I know. It'll be an adjustment at first. It's just all scary right now, like all a sudden, I'm getting thoughts of staying in Philly and I'm like "No! You fool! You can't stay! You need this. Don't let fear keep you back!" She can only be my friend but it would be nice to have her in my life. She promised she would be, but who knows. I would love to work at Disneyland. It's the reason I trimmed my options to only Anaheim or Orlando. I want to be close to that world and maybe get a chance to work there, if only for a while, just to say I did it. I never got a chance to do the college program or anything. But it all depends on how flexible my real job can be. I'm hope for flexibility to let me work at Disney, even if just for a while.

 Thank you!, I'm only 32. I know in gay years that like 100, but.....

:ROFLOL: Dan you make me smile. LOL

Where did Jess go?
tetanus shot?

I wouldn't need one if you'd stop biting people!

That's what we're here for, Sweets!
(That, and the occasional ice cream fight) :lookaroun

Speaking of... we haven't had a good ice cream fight in awhile. :lookaroun

And I have to go!
Later maybe, love?
Miss you!

Alas it'll have to wait. Talk to you soon dearie!

Yay! That sounds like fun! We were thinking of going to the zoo on Sunday - but we just got word that there will be triplets coming to sundayschool... I was supposed to have off - but now they need an extra hand so I'm on duty.

I hope y'all have fun! Take some pics so you can share! :D

That girl was full of promises before and she has yet to keep any of them. Don't hold your breath sweetie...

On a better note... have you started looking at Apts or anything out there? You should look in the LA paper online and see if anyone needs a roomate - that'd be a great way to get to know the area and save a little $$ at the same time! :)

*bites you* Never! :lookaroun

I'll need a job first! Then all that can come after. I might stay with my uncle at first, who knows. I dunno how I feel about having a roommate that I don't know. *has flashback to the nightmare that was college freshmen year  * I'll be open to a roommate but I think I wanna get to know the person first.

Hello? So sorry for not being here, but finals are getting started up plus my Directing 1 class had our scene presentations this week. Plus I am going to Six Flags Great America with my Disney Rep team tomorrow (long story behind that.) But now that I have a breather, I thought I would pop in and say hello to everyone.

I've had alot of experience w/ roommates that I didn't know first (College, CP, Chicago) and have gotten really lucky; all have been wonderful! In Chicago I used Roommates.com and loved it. They do a pretty extensive profile there and I had really good luck w/ it. :)

Thanks Steph. I do it a day at a time; that way if you have a day that absolutely BOMBS you can always get a fresh chance the next day.

Thanks for the pics of the childrens' mural - really teared me up.

And on a slightly goofy topic: McDonald's is selling Shrek toys in their happy meals, and Joel got a Shrek doll that belches  . Lots of giggles going on right now! :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

You aren't allowed to bite a princess.

I'm getting calls from weird places now, like Texas. My resume specifically says SoCal, don't you people read? So far no other ones from Cali, but I'm kinda concentrating on this one right now and seeing where that goes. I think a nice time frame would be maybe like end of June to July or even August?
