politics Jenn?

care to share why? Or is that personal?

No, adolescent gossipy behavior of one member. Instead of raising valid points, or offering to do some work, this individual would rather go up to other members and complain. Remember when I mentioned that our principal was in the hospital for a few days. This same individual basically said that this principal was so mean she pretty much brought it on herself. No sympathy or concern, just another chance to get her digs in. So, my friend is getting all this secondhand feedback and she is seriously stressing. I don't blame her for wanting to leave, but I honestly can't think of anyone else to take her place. She is a very diplomatic person (which I'm not), and has a fairly decent relationship with our principal, which is the only way we'll get anything done.

Sorry....rant over. :o

Been there, done that Jenn! That's basically why I served as President as long as I did, since I was the only one who could deal with the principal on a somewhat professional level.

Anyone here still go to Pleasure Island? I'm wondering if it's even worth it for DH and I to go. We're definitely doing Jellyrolls (is Atlanta Dance Co. any good?) but I just don't know if we're going to spend an evening at PI...? Thoughts?

Hello agian.

Been doing yard work and I am sore for such little work, I must be falling apart.
So, I think I'll go down to Florida and crash everyone's vacation. Sounds like fun for me.:sohappy:

O.K. I wont bother you on your vacations, but I'll still wish I was there.

I've walked around there during the day, but we're not really night club people.

I don't think I'm the person for the job - I know that. I wouldn't have a huge problem dealing with the principal, but I wouldn't handle all the bickering crap very gracefully. That's why I prefer treasurer, I'm involved in some decision making, but it's mostly busy work. I'm really trying to talk her into one more year. Both of our youngest kids will be at school all day next year, which means we have more time to be involved. She's very good at her job, and a decent person.

Sounds like you could probably talk her into staying on....

Yeah...

It's just as well. Right now a hailstorm's rolling through where I would've been outside for track.

AND there's rotation (see: potential tornadoes) in my neck of the woods as well. :lookaroun

How close are you to Michigan, Dan? That's a nasty cell moving through right now. :( Stay safe!

I've never been...and don't plan on ever going either.
