MJ's Mayflowers

It really is amazing.
When I first met up with them, MJ was in her chair and I stooped down to her level and she just stared at me so intently. I really felt like I was falling into those eyes. I've never had an experience quite like it. Then she signed something to her Mom and Bonny said, "Yes, she will be going with us today". To which M smiled and gave this affirmative nod that I soon found she uses often and which I just adored. It seemed to say so much. I was hers from that point on and I loved it!
She speaks in mostly one word sentences, but is very good at getting her point across. She misses nothing. She's like a sponge just soaking up everything and everyone around her.
I took her picture with my camera and I showed it to her and she laughed. Then she took the camera from me and took my picture! Several times!
Then we laughed at those.
She's smart! She can identify the birds on the jungle trails and point them out on the charts that are provided. She knows colors and loves making animal sounds.
That's a little taste of MJ. . .everyone should have one.
You'll love it!

Isn't she something. After my first CP (I left in Aug 2005) I went back for a visit in Jan 2006. I wasn't sure she would remember who I was. But she remembered me right away.:) I didn't quote everything, so I'll put it here:
Betty- I hope things work out for your DH (glad to hear your daughter's car is working again).
Jenny- You are a great mom and I know things will work out.
After reading all the loans stories I feel guilty about school, since my parents are paying for me. I especially feel bad since there are 8 of us (and only 1 has finished school- my oldest sister).:(

I'm okay.
How are you?
Did you ever solve the riddle of the missing iced tea jug?

Uh, I think that was Amy that was missing her iced tea? You had me scratching my head on that one. :animwink:

BTW, how were the Dole whips this time? :D

6 months till I have my first one! :slurp:

She has an exam tomorrow, so I was going to have to drive up to NH alone, pick her up and drive up to her apartment in Maine, then stay 'til after her exam tomorrow, drive her back to NH, then come home. I'm so glad I don't have to go now.
