Susan, Kat, Amy and Chris. . .
Wonderful entries in the photo contest!
Why thank you Dot!
I haven't looked at the other entries. I try not to do that before I submit one, thinking that if I see all the really great ones, I might not even submit anything.
So now I'll have to check out everyone else's photos!

I'm sorry. And you're not being childish. I know how it is to not completely enjoy being around your in-laws.
At least your mother-in-law didn't say "you think you're better than everyone" to your face and laugh at you when you started crying. :lookaroun

((HUGS))
I'm sorry Kat.
I can't even post here some of the things that my mother-in-law said to me. :lookaroun
But. . .over the years she came to love me. And by the end of her life, she appreciated me. Time really can heal.

Not in my case. She went into the hospital that day I spoke up and got mad. She had a stoke and died 30 days later. The 30th of this month she will be gone.17yrs and I still get accused of causing the stroke.:zipit:

That's very encouraging Dot. Thanks. As it is now, I don't hold any grudges. But I don't think I would trust her being alone with my children...

Oh goodness. I'm sorry Susan...

I entered one too...my 1st one ever :o

Oh Susan... I'm sorry that people are accusing you of that. Of course you didn't cause it. Family can be difficult at times, huh?

I knew I was going to miss someone.
Sorry, Steph!
I'm going right over to look for yours now!
No worries, Momma  I think it got buried in there somewhere. Actually, I think Jess & Dana put one in too :)

Okay, Steph. . .
and Betty, Jess, Luke, Dana, Jenny and Bonny.
All of you, as well as myself and those I already mentioned, have posted pics in the photo contest!
So a collective great job to everyone!

Does anyone mind that I still like Bonny's the best for some reason? :lookaroun

Can you arrange it that you all meet up at the Festival, spend time together there, maybe share a meal, and then call it a day?

I wish, but they're traveling at least three hours to be here. And they're coming here first. Actually, I won't even be at canal days, since Joel doesn't do well when it's hot and crowded. There's really nothing for him to do there but just sit. People just wander around eating, drinking, and there are a few rides with really loud blaring music. Since DH has never been to the festival, he's going this year. Hopefully, they won't be here at the house for that long.

No, but my own grandmother asked me at my bridal shower if I could fit into a teddy one of my cousins bought me as a joke. (she always gets the bride some lingerie). And I wasn't nearly as heavy as I am now. Nowadays, I would have said I didn't plan on wearing it that long. :drevil: Back then I was too stunned.

 That's so not right - if anything her stroke was probably caused by just being a mean old lady. No one should talk about you that way!

Sorry, love.
I guess you're stuck.
And I don't blame you for not wanting them at this time. I personally consider my home a haven and am not big on company. I know that will shock some people, but that's me.
