So true... when I left OH I thought I'd lose touch with everyone I cared about... but thanks to email, phones, texting, myspace, facebook and all those other techno things I really haven't missed a beat with anyone! I haven't seen some of them for over 8 years - but we still talk on an almost daily basis...

Oh...see leaving high school was a big thing for me. I was really involved in theater in high school. So it stunk having to say goodbye to all those people. And I was afraid I'd never see all my close friends again...since they were all going off to different colleges around the country at the time.

Turns out, I had nothing to worry about...my best friends then are still my best friends now...so I had no need to worry. The people that you really care about will stay in your life as long as you let them. :D
I feel like a bad friend...

I guess I didn't meet the people who would become my true friends until college. And really, the people I've met here in Tennessee are the best ones I've ever had. I guess as I've changed throughout the years, so has the type of people I've become friends with.

I wish I had friends I've known since I was a kid and still be able to call them...:o

Oh geez. hate it when that happens...

Yeah, me too...I came thisclose to grabbing the cord before I left too...but didn't think I'd need it.

Edit: realized I'd answered this question wrong!

Yeah...I hated it too...especially since I waited all day. But he was really nice. And it's good that I'll still be able to get it. Now I just gotta get WHF to cut down some limbs.

(Oh and this guy who came by to install it...he had amazing steel blue eyes...*melt* :lookaroun)

LOL I figured... that or you ran into someone you knew at ABC... I've often gone to ABC with perfectly good intentions on getting work done on my laptop - but I always run into people I know there.

Oh, I always run into people I know there! But I don't usually chat for long. I'll say what I need to and then politely excuse myself. That way I'm not stuck sitting there talking to someone who probably doesn't want to keep talking to me!

I actually ran into one of my best friends who I didnt know was back working at Bread Co...and I ran into a friend of the family too. Oh...and here...in St. Louis it's St. Louis Bread Co!

I'm not sure I could take someone serious in that Dept. With that last name....

Yeah...it would be very hard to do that...hee hee...:lookaroun (Sorry, immature s e x joke there.)

Yay for busy days! But stink for no time with us!

Well, I think it's officially slowed down for a bit now. Phew.

Corey Graduated that yr also.

Yay for Corey!!!
 I have no idea why I thought we graduated the same year.

I was almost finished with college by the time you graduated! :ROFLOL:

Nope...you are the same age as WHF...so you guys were probably graduated the same year. Or close to it.

You're not a bad friend at all Kat... You just had to wait a few years to find those lasting people in your life...

When I moved to SC I never really made the connections that I had in HS... I have friends from college, and friends in church - but the people I'm closest to are hundreds of miles away...

Just b/c you didn't find those lasting relationships in HS doesn't make you a bad friend silly... there's no time frame that says when life long relationships should be built! ;) You found them in your own time - nothing wrong with that.

I just called my recruiter. No word yet on their decision. Sigh, I'm getting a bit anxious now. I'm starting to forget my priorities. Going through all these job opportunities, I keep thinking about the actual work and my career. That's not the point of this move! The whole goal of this is to get my butt out to Cali. The job is just the means to do it. I have no long-term aspirations for this. It's all short-term. I have to remember that. Now granted, I don't wanna work somewhere that is just horrible for me, but I think I'm willing to make some concessions because this is so short-term. If the place I find is someplace I find out I really like and wanna stay for a long time, then great. But my goal now is just to get out there.

You aren't bad at all...some people just don't develop close friendships in high school. My brother didn't. All his friends came from working at Six Flags. He hated all the kids he went to high school with. Or most of them anyway. As long as you have some friends that you can call close, your fine. Doesn't matter how or when you got them. Just matters that you've got them in your life.

And don't worry, I don't really have many friends I've known since I was a kid...only a few select ones. Of which I can probably count on my 1 hand.

Well, Vince...be patient...I know it's hard...and if it's right...it will happen. If it's not the right company, another one will be.

Keep the faith Vince. It'll happen when it's supposed to - and not a moment before.

You'll be out there before you know it!!! :sohappy:
