Dana, cute pic of Maggie! She's a cutie. And I wish I could join you all at Bun's, but my CP in Florida prevents me from doing that. :c(

In other words, I think I am allergic to something on Maharajah Jungle Trek. I was at DAK with Bonny, Andrew, and MJ the other day and we spend some time there. My legs broke out in hives and I was given anti-itch cream by Bonny. Today, my right leg is fine but my left foot is all puffy and painful (Taking Tylenol didn't help). I think I need Benadryl for this.
Hi rachel! Did you touch a plant or something with your legs - sounds like nettles or something....

That sounds about right. You can print your boarding pass up the day befoe, which will save you some time at the airport too.
And she's not checking any bags so it should take too long at all.

Oh no, Rachel!!! Don't scratch! :) Are you having fun other than that?
Oh, that's fine. I'll just need a ride from someone - I'd rather not rent a car (i'm cheap :lookaroun )
As long as I drive, I can get you :)

gotcha...so you've just got first time jitters...

trust me...we all have them the first time we fly...but really flying is nothing. All you have to do is get to the airport...and get on the actual plane...sit in a seat...which if you've ever been on a train, the seats remind me of plane seats...and then get off the plane. It's really not that scary when you're up in the air...especially if you keep your window closed...and the most uncomfortable part is when the plane takes off and lands...because your ears pop...but if you're chewing on something before take off and landing...it shouldn't pop as much.

Really...I've been flying for years...and I look forward to it all the time. It's one of my favorite parts of traveling.

At least you have a nice dinner tonight! ;)
I'm sorry you have to stay so late and work so long on the day before Memorial Day weekend.

No, they have to be just you. and you have to physically be on the plane - not just book it for someone else.
gotcha...hmm...well...I'll have to consider it...although I don't know if I can get in 8 flights in 2 years...I know for sure I'll have 4 this year...but usually I'd only take a possiblity of 2 more next year...at least I'm pretty sure of...hmmm...

Actually, I just want to take my purse onto the plane with me, so I will probably check one suitcase. Remember I'm coming the day before, so I need a change of clothes and all that. Plus bunny's gift. :sohappy:
same here...although I might just do carry on...still not 100% sure on what I'd choose.

So I have two cute cute things I've come across today that I wanted to share.

First, my mom bought my this pug day-by-day tear-off calendar. Each day has a quote or saying relating to dogs. Yesterday it was:
"It's a dog-eat-dog world and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear."

The only thing I didn't like was that I developed a killer migraine that stayed with me the rest of the day. Otherwise flying was pretty cool. How big of a hastle is security these days? (I flew before 9/11 last time)

And this is from and e-mail that was sent to me:

Subject: Fwd: crackpot friends

An elderly Chinese woman had
two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across
her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and
always
delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked
pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home
only
one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and
miserable
that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be b bitter failure, it spoke to
the woman one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water
to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your
side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?"

"That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back,
you water them."

"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to
decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty
to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we
each
have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

There's a new thread that has a link to a teaser trailer for National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. I can't wait! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

But I have to until December.
