MJ's Love Bugs

Actually, I think Jess is the one seeing it - at noon today, I think? I probably won't go till Sunday afternoon, and probably by myself. Mike isn't as interested in seeing it - said he would wait for the DVD release. I think he got really annoyed when Elizabeth kissed Jack in the last one - fidelity and all that :D . I like Cap'n Jack myself.
Sorry hon - I knew I should have read back to check to see who was going.

No problem - I've been reading different comments on the forum from people who have seen the film already (spoilers don't bother me), and my curiosity is peaked. It sounds like a fun ride. Maybe I should brave the Friday night crowds.

I haven't read any for fear it might give things away. So people tended to like it? Rottentomatoes.com has it at 50%. I'm just thinking it's going to be so LONG!

It was gorgeous here last night. DH and I ate out in the screen house and just sat and talked for hours - it was just sooooo nice - no TV or computer, just us. That doesn't happen very often.
Aw... that's great Betty. (Hi by the way! ) I think most couples need more nights like that. I know Derek and I do.

It's just been so crazy here lately, with all the graduations, family parties, and end-of-the-school year things - he's been so stressed. I think in a way he's very relieved to be back in the classroom full-time next year, but it was really a slap in the face the way it was handled.

Kat, Predators fans are making me sad. :( All these Predators fans are seeking help from Penguins fans cause we just went through what they're going through now. The same guy who tried to buy the Penguins and move them away and failed has now bought the Predators. All these Predator fans act so hopeless now that it's almost a given they're gonna lose their team.

Yes, it did seem like it wasn't handled very well. He's lucky to have you by his side though!

Where have i been?! I've missed this. So there's a CHANCE they'll be relocated, or it looks like they most likely will? For a southern city, hockey is rather a big thing down here. (Probably b/c there's a bunch of people from Michigan that moved down a few years back) I'm sure people would hate to lose them.

We still need a baseball team!

The guy who bought them is a Canadian who wants to bring a team to Canada. He paid $220 mill for a team worth only $130. You don't pay that much money to keep the team in Nashville. There is also an out clause in the Predators contract with the city that if they don't average 14,000 people a game in consecutive years, they can leave. Last season, they only got 13,800. That means if they don't get 14,000 next year, they could leave. There's speculation now that this new owner will gut the team of talent and raise ticket prices for next year, making sure the fans won't come. It seems bleak for Nashville. The Penguins were saved because there was this enormous outpouring of support for them. They had 40 years of rich hockey history and tradition. Nashville is new to hockey and I don't think the same level of support is there for them.
