I have another interview! It's for Friday. It's with a company in LA. Now I would prefer to be in Orange County, LA was always more of a 2nd option for me. But I must say this company really peaked my interest. It's a sports company and they seem to care as much about a passion for sports as technical skills. My conversation with the recruiter was probably the most fun I had so far in this job search. We spent 40 minutes talking about sports. So we'll see.

Poor Jen.
No rest for the weary Mom.
At least not till the wee ones are safely tucked in for the night.

Nope. Right now I put in our Disney planning DVD and that has his full attention, so hopefully he will start relaxing. Bedtime is at 8, and then I'm watching Ghost Hunters. Don't ask me why, I just like the show.

I definitly know that feeling.

OT- I have a cute story to tell about middle DD. She is 11 right now. Anyway after school she asked me what to do about a problem. She heard a boy wanted to take her to the 5th grade dance Friday.(The dance is from 2 to 4 at the school). She heard this though the grapevine. Anyway she asked me what to do. In my wisest voice I told her to be careful in what ever she chooses so she doesn't embaress the boy. I told her to call her Aunt and see what she says. So she did. Her aunt told her to go for it and ask him herself. She went and asked to boy if he said what she had heard. He said no. So she asked him to go with her. He said yes.

My baby is growing up. :sohappy:

No American Idol, Jen?
Tonight's the finale!

I have never watched that show. Only seen clips on news shows of some of their worst tryouts. I cringe when I hear all the off-key singing, I don't think I could handle a whole hour of it. Course I know they're down to who's really doing well, but I just can't get into it. Same reason I don't watch Survivor or The Bachelor or any of the other hundred 'reality shows'. The only one I watch is Extreme Home Makeover, and that's even getting old for me.

Maybe I'm just getting more boring. :lookaroun

You're not boring at all!
It's just not your thing!
Me. . .I like all that kind of stuff.
Well, not all of it. . .American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, Amazing Race. That's about it for reality TV for me. I do watch Extreme Home Makeover from time to time. Makes me cry.

I love how they help families who truly need help. They've given a lot of attention to families dealing with autism, and that means a lot to me personally. However, something that really bothers me is when the family comes home and sees all the beauty around them, all they can do is take God's name in vain, over and over and over. It really bothers me when the little kids do it. And no this isn't about free speech or religion. It just really bugs me.
Sorry, just had to vent for a sec......*deep cleansing breath*

You mean when people say "Oh my God"?
Hmmmm . . . Makes me think of how many times I've said that here. Speaking for myself, when I say it, I'm simply not thinking of it in terms of being offensive. In fact, I'm not thinking at all. I apologize for that.

I appreciate your apology, but it wasn't a backward attempt on my part to 'scold' you or anything. Most people say that and don't think twice about it. And I'm not trying to tell you how to speak. But I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me to hear it, especially from children. Adults make their own choices. Kids follow the adults' example.
I've learned to tune out most things that bother me, because free will and choice are part of life. I hope you can understand without becoming angry with me.

I'm not at all angry. And I didn't think you were scolding me or anyone here. You just made me stop and think.
It would not have occurred to me that that could be considered offensive. And I honestly don't think most people would mean it to be offensive. . . because most people don't think about it one way or the other. Maybe we should.

Hi Dan! Did you now? Was this before they started filming the show? Most of the time it just amuses me, although sometimes the stuff on there creeps me out.
A group I am with pairs with them from time to time. The founder of our group is represented by the same agent as theirs. They are very nice, but again that is show business.
Unfortunately, I dont' get to investigate as much as others, but it is very interesting.
