I weighed a little over 4 lbs.

All moms go through times like that with their kids. You want to lash out at the little monsters or tell their parents off, but you don't because it won't change anything. There will always be people like that.

kids are so mean and it doesn't help that kids that age don't understand things like autism either...so it makes it worse.

for every kid that makes fun of her. I bet there are 2 angels watching over her and holding her!

Sorry to hear that Bonny! I promise you that it will probably haunt them for the rest of their lives. I gave into peer pressure once as a kid and made fun of a kid with Downs. Now everytime I see someone with downs it takes all I have to not break down and cry right there wherever I am at, most of the time I can't help it, I take it as my punishment for 1 act of cruelty

I think that's partly because they don't understand it either.

Autism is such a social stigma...you're taught not to stare at people...and then they don't want to learn about it then either...it's a double edged sword almost.
