I evidently missed the birthday boy . . .
Hope he returns.
Jess did such an amazing job on his thread. . .

 It was a team effort... but I hope he likes it once he get's to look it over... everyone really pitched in some fun things. It's neat looking over all the things that seem to represent our birthday boy.

ot: Lizzy's "rocking" her baby. (good thing it's not real... it'd have brain damage from all this rocking. :lookaroun )

Yes, we did seem to capture all the little things that make Connor Connor.

Not too far... maybe 20-30 minutes away.
Thing is, I've been sick a lot this winter, and so have my niece and nephew.
We all kind of decided (we, as in my mom, sister, and I) to try to keep our germs to ourselves, and see each other only when we're all feeling well.

Good thinking, Freddy.

Shooting After High School Basketball Game

(KSDK) - A Hazelwood East High School sudent was shot Thursday night in a McCluer North High School parking lot following a basketball game between the Stars and archrival Hazelwood Central Hawks.

The 19-year-old sophomore ( I hope that was a misprint!) was shot in the hand and the leg around 8 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was listed Friday afternoon in satisfactory condition.

On Friday, police arrested and charged a high school dropout with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Dewayne Geans, 17, attended Hazelwood Central High until he dropped out two months ago.

Florissant police believe Greans and the victim knew other. They also said the shooting had nothing to do with the basketball game.

"We believe this to be long-standing, ongoing feud between these two individuals. There may be some other folks involved," said Police Chief William Karabas.

The weapon used in Thursday night's shooting has not yet been recovered.

Greans is being held at the Police Department in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
