 Me too Susie! That's hillarious!

First one was a high school b/f... we lasted 3 years... thought we were destined to be forever... first week of college I realized I did not want to get married yet.

Second one was obsessive and only asked to keep me from hanging out with my very GAY best friend. uh... NO.

Third one was Jay. And he asked me the right way. :)

Speaking of...

Since so many of us are married around here... how about sharing some Proposal stories? I'd love to know how all your sweetie pies proposed to you? (or in Ricks case, how you conned your wife into saying yes. :lookaroun )

;)

HEY!!!!

I am a good salesman though!

We got engaged I guess at the grocery store where we both worked.

We had been together for about a year or so I guess....Now remember..He got Dana tattooed on his arm 3 weeks after we were dating so he was certain..;)

He was helping me clean up the salad bar where I was manager at Sav-A-Center and he worked in produce and I was a really big flirt...(I know shocker..)

He said maybe you can calm that flirting down a little since you will be engaged to me..and I looked at him and said..okay.

We went that night and picked out my ring...we did not get married till 2001 and that was 1994..sooo....there you go..nothing too exciting..

 Love you Jenny! See Rick? Some men really CAN wait. ;)

He was worth the wait...and so was I! :animwink:

Proposal story: It was Mike's senior year, he was broke, had to ask his mom for a loan to get my ring; he didn't want to propose unless he could get a temp job over Christmas break, and he couldn't find one. Then he realized that a ringwas the only gift he wanted to give me...soooo....we went home to his folks, and they were working but his younger brother was at home and it was pouring rain so he couldn't take me anywhere alone. So we went to his room (and before all you dirty minded folks get any ideas - NOTHING HAPPENED :p ); he told me to turn around and when I turned back he was down on one knee! 'Will you marry me, Jennifer?' 'Yes I will Michael!" :D

Wow, that's a lot of pictures. I'll definitely make a point to check out the show when I'm in WDW next month.

And congrats on MJ's loose tooth and her jumping on two feet! That's great news.:)

Psht. No... Like I said... my sister and her husband waited for their first kiss.... so it wasn't such a foreign thought to me. :)

 Love you Jenny! See Rick? Some men really CAN wait. ;)

*giggle* I did that once to Jay... don't look into it too deeply. Old habbits die hard, even if the relationship died rather easily. ;) I laughed so hard at myself that Jay realized it wasn't b/c I was thinking of the ex... it was b/c the last time I'd yelled about that topic... it was at the ex.

I said kiss, not "other things"

Wow... what made y'all wait so long to get married?
All kinds of things..We moved to Florida then moved back...and money was an issue..and getting a place together was hard..we lived with his parents when we got bacj from florida..but that was hard so I moved in with mine...and it was rough going back and forth to each others house.....

Soooo in September 2001..right after 9/11 we decided to just move in together in a hole in the wall and get married....

It was small and very nice..we got married at MY childhood church..during the winter time..on his birthday..(Tradition in his family)..It was beautiful...Christmas decorations and all candlelight...My neice Allie stood up for me and that was that...Small but beautiful...

We went to WDW for our honeymoon and was there for New years..:)

We always said that we would renew our vows after 10 years at WDW..:)

My DBF at the time DH now. We were talking about getting married and he brought up the date 07-07-77 the perfect day to get married. I said we could elope. He didn't like that idea. So we dropped the whold idea. I work at a cafateria at the time. He asked my dad for my hand and told me boss what he had plan to do. So on that night of 7-7-77. My boss let me get off early(we had plans to go out and I didn't know where) I went home, I was told to get dress really nice. So I did. We met up with his sister and some other friends. We went to the Tower of Americas and we split from the others. He took me to the Staute of St. Francis on the river walk. He proposed there. At the time a river boat of people was going by and they hollered "Well what is the answer?" Of course I yelled back "Yes" and they all clapped. Then we went to the tower to eat. That night we had finished eating and we were just sitting there talking when a roach ran across our table and climbed into the butter dish. We asked the waitress to remove the dish. She didn't she just went and got the manager. He came over to the table and told us "You still have to pay for the meal." We were going to do that anyways but we just wanted to just sit and talk.:hammer: They didn't believe us.

I was out of business, had a big deal going down, we had a big night business wise, our little experiment had a really big night! But it wasn't complete, it wasn't in the same viscenity as complete. So I rushed home and she was having a meeting with all her girlfriends and right there in the middle of them all I said....you... you complete me!
