I was Elizabeth Ann, but I dropped the Ann and replaced it with my maiden name. Ironically enough, the mother of the kids I used to take care of was Ann Elizabeth.

Lauren's going to drop her middle name and replace it with our last name when she gets married. I like that idea.

I just didn't feel right giving up my entire last name - it's a part of me. And my middle name had no particular significance, so it worked for me. My daughter on the other hand has my mother's name for a middle name, so it might be an issue for her.
My DD is named Dorthy. We dropped the second "o" in the name. I don't know why we just did.

And that is just another way of spelling it.
I have to admit. . .I've never cared for my name much.
I would have preferred a simpler name like Mary or Ann.
I just like those so much more.
We call her DJ because of her middle name.

Of course that never would have worked for me.
My maiden name is Polish and full of consonants.
I always tell George I married him for his short, easy last name! :lol:
