Hello everyone.
 Hi girls!! Back in a bit.Hellooo?
Hi Bunny. How's it going today?
Good. Busy, but things are okay so far...
I'm trying to figure out what I can give up for Lent...
you know, I said hi to Joanna and Rachel and then they left, so I will not say hi to Susie and Bunny, but instead just acknowledge that you are here.
I don't give up on anything but try to do something good for someone or pray for that person everyday. If I give up something I always fail. I am a sinner.. I am not perfect.
Yay!!! You all didn't talk too much!!! I don't have so much to catch up on!!!![]()
Well if we say hello or hi to you are you going to leave?![]()
J/k:lol:
Oh...that would explain it! :lol:Rick hasn't been talking that much.:lookaroun
I'm usually pretty good about giving things up... but this year...:lookaroun
Usually I give up my favorite foods, like popcorn, or ice cream...
But I'm all over the map this year with cravings, and denying a pregnant woman a craving is just cruel!
Yes, I know I'm "technically" exempt from the fasting, no meat, give up something thing... But I really like doing it for Lent. It makes me feel better.
maybe you could try doing something good... like being nice!!!!!
I tell my girls to let me know what they give up so I won't be tempting them with that item. My old DD gave up sodas one yr and after lent she didn't want them that much anymore. I told her I was very proud of her.
I gradually gave up sodas just because they weren't good for me, and were a source of empty calories... And I could never stand diet sodas, they just tasted so artificial. Now whenever I have a soda I'm blown away by how sweet they are. It really shocks you when you aren't used to drinking them.

I have tried to give them up totally but I have cut down to just one a day now. It was up to 6 to 7 cans of soda a day.Now to get DH to cut down.:zipit: It isn't easy.

I think a lot of people do that...and I think it's great. Soda is very icky and by not drinking it, you can keep your weight down...trust me. One of my best friend's quit drinking soda and has seen a reduction in weight...and I've never drank any...and I'm not hugemongous. One of the other things I attribute my being little too. Deit Pepsi is me, Diet Cherry 7-up is good as well, and I also Diet Root beerOn the weekend I will let myself have a Dr. Pepper reg. I love those but I am not supposed to have the caffine. During the week I drink Diet Cherry 7up. It is the only diet drink that doesn't have an after taste to me.
