Excerpt from conversation with Nana:

MommytoMJM [5:15 P.M.]: Well, Hell
Poohbearasl [5:16 P.M.]: Hell What
MommytoMJM [5:16 P.M.]: MJ's got an infection shomewhere having to do with her tube, the outside looks fine, so it must be inside, she does have an area of swelling in the upper right quadrant, the smell is just AWFUL....and so far I haven't been able to find an advice nurse
Poohbearasl [5:17 P.M.]: oh **** that is not good at all
MommytoMJM [5:17 P.M.]: nope....trying to find an advice nurse, I guess this is what the 103 fever was all about
Poohbearasl [5:17 P.M.]: yep probably

okay, she has an appt for 8:45 am tomorrow with Torres, they said to watch the fever...sigh

I'm really worried, the smell is coming from her insides, not the surface of the skin....

It is so hard to tell Betty, she reacts a little like she is in pain, but her pain threshold is so high there isn't a reliable way to figure it out, but the smell is just terrible

Did the smell seem to come on quickly, or has it been gradually worsening?

I don't have a car and she is acting fine.....I am not sure what to do, the nurse didn't seem to be too worried, but I don't know how much she knows about feeding tubes.....

Bonny. . .hello. . .I'm jumping in here!
Make a judgement call NOW!
You can't worry about expense if something might be wrong.
Call the ambulance, or a cab if you can!
But decide something now!!!!

Well, she seems fine, the nurse said to just watch her carefully, because I called her, if we take her to the ER and it's nothing Medicaid won't pay for anything...so since I don't know what they are going to say at the ER, I am pretty much screwed:fork: . I'm watching her closely, so far no fever....

I doubt they would get mad at him for taking his daughter to the ER.....
and something is wrong..I have taken maggie to the ER and it was nothing really but it was paid for..The fact that there is a smell and redness is something..So far no fever but it could happen at any time..I would take her regardless..Better to be safe then sorry Bonny..I dont mean to lecture you but It is something that is not normally happening..so it will be paid for Bonny...
