Well, he's just doing his best to assert his new authority over us all... It's going to be interesting considering we've been without a direct boss for over a year now.

Yea I know about the new boss thing. They just have to show you, as if you don't know already I am the Boss.:hammer:

It must be tough for him to come into this kind of atmosphere... but still. I just hope he doesn't overdo the whole "Boss" thing... our old boss was such a sweet old man, and none of us are used to an authoritarian boss.

MJ had a horrible night, I just woke up, she finally consented to leave me around 10 am, I was up almost all night with her. She is feeling better from the cold, but I think the waking up in tears (nightmares possibly) is a side effect of this new drug, I am thisclose to pulling her off of it.....

Awww, we'll miss you.

Thanks for the above, it means a lot, sometimes it's nice to hear that. I try hard to remember what is going on with everyone even though I am overwhelmed...

Speaking of Overwhelmed, MJ was denied for the Med Waiver for a second time. The Psychologist at APD days that from the sound of her Neuro's letter, she doesn't *sound* autistic, even though HE lists it as one of her 4 Diagnoses...sigh.

I wish! This cloud over us is just huge, it even managed to extend to Nana's visit. At least we were all togehter for the bad stuff that week.

New to this thread, so just wanted to say hi! I can relate to your 'fun' with the waiver, though. I'm not even jumping hoops with our state authorities over funding, it would be a waste of time. My hubby makes too much money to help, but never will make enough to pay for the 30-40 hours
of therapies the experts suggest is best. Our son is PDD-NOS, the 'specialist' called it atypical autism when we pressed the issue. (what is 'typical' autism anyway - isn't it a spectrum disorder?). Sometimes I wonder if the specialists have clue.
Sorry, rant over . Hope MJ is getting better.

Awww, welcome to the thread, I know just how you feel. If one more person tells me that MJ is *too functional* I am going to hit the roof, it makes me crazy as all get out. I'd love to have another ASD mama here,
i hope you'll hang around. It took us 4.5 years to get her diagnosed (even though I knew at 18 mos) because she is too social. I kept telling them that it was a function of her autism, but no one would listen until her current Neuro gave her the Autism Behavior Checklist.
