I got about 150 pages into it, and had to put it down.
Two of my former Language Arts teachers (yes, women who specialize in reading) couldn't get through it.
One of my mom's friend couldn't stand it, either.
I reallllly want to get through it.
Maybe over Christmas break.

That's exactly what I thought about it!
I tried reading it ages ago, long before the show ever was!
I thought it was an excellent premise for a book.
I was soooo disappointed!

It's actually going to be a Christmas present to DH and me (he doesn't know thoug). I got an e-mail the other day offering the chance to get them before they actually went on sale to the public, so I jumped at it. If I didn't have the time to read it when I was away, I would have never gotten through it. It's trying WAY too hard to be a book that says something about our modern times and be all allegorical... blech. It was okay, but I don't think I'll pick it up again until afer I get a few more books crossed off my list.

I can't look it up right now since DH is sitting next to the newspaper, but I'll find out tomorow. Yesterday's paper had an article about it because the tickets went on sale to the public this weekend.
